I'd been down that hall several times trolling for XP to level up before descending. Ran into a Weak Ogre and then all of a sudden I was clear across the map. Unless there are randomly spawning traps, I'd say he cast a spell on me. I thought it was weird and funny. So I decided to mention it. I do have to say, the 1.3 update seems a little skimpy on the loot. Might want to consider tweaking back the exploding chests on the lower levels. Those can really hurt. I've actually died once from one that delivered well more damage than I could handle at level 1.
You sure you didn't step on a teleport trap? Ogres shouldn't be picking up wands, though now that i think of it... that could be funny. Yes, the loot and HP and stuff have all been tweaked. This update is really sort of prep-work for the big update, so we will continue to balance and iron out the kinks as we move towards it. Still, there was way too much loot in the rubble before. People running around with 71 healing potions, 40 shield spells, I mean come on, heh. EDIT: Doffie, I know why you're seeing that "freeze" etc. and it's related to the video. For some reason, the video isn't working right on the iPad, and so you get this inactive touch-screen and other things that can occur. So, just turn off the video as a workaround. We will be fixing this for the iPad update (which is why it's still delayed) and will also submit a matching iPhone bugfix for it when it's ready.
Oh yay! Mindfield found my wand of BAF (big arse fireball!) I seriously took out a room of 7 dire wolves with one. It was epic!
Hard to... put down the updated game long enough to punch out yet another review, but I done it. We all should, and it will make up for the one-star morons who picked up and then dropped the game without really getting into it when it was a freebie.

Mushrooms can give you temporary teleportitis. It kicks in randomly. HrraAAAHH!! *points wand* Hmm. Stick not work. *shakes wand* Work, stick! *jabs the air with wand* Light! *shake* Zap! *shake shake* Boom! Shoot! Make fire! Kill! *shake shake shake* Stick not work! Stick broken! Bad stick! *eats wand* Ooo. Spicy stick. Gonna hurt coming out. What's wrong with that? Some people horde cats. Some people horde junk. I horde things that could save my life. And sacks.
Paul really chose some fine colours, and has consequently made me very happy. I know I can be a big pest with regard to game aesthetics, but I think it adds to the game's pleaure. I'm enjoying other things as well: the bright, shiny beacon spells lying on the floor, the attractive doorway to tunnels. I'm only up to Level 8' so those are just some things I've noticed so far. Yeah, happy.
It was a hallway that was one tile wide that I'd been up and down 2 or 3 times. So no traps. I wasn't really complaining about the dearth of loot. Just noting that the number of empty chests have gone way up. Exploding ones too. The lizard men's stench weakening me is pretty funny.
Hello Paul, Was just wondering if the wonky bug and possibly the random teleportation ^ thingy would be fixed in a quick update or if you'll be leaving them to be included with the next already-planned update? Thanks my friend.
Congrats for the update (have yet to play it unfortunately). I just read something that maybe could be of interest Madgarden. I was under the impression that you were searching for a method to share save games between Fargoal on iPhone and iPad. Myself, I was searching a method to actually SAVE MY SAVEGAMES somewhere on my PC, because as we all know, Apple still has this HUGE shortocming when it cames to iPhone game savegames (basically, you can only save those when you backup, but if cancel TEMPORARELY the app from the iPhone, you're screwed). So...OS4 latest beta finally activates data sharing, which is cool for a number of reasons...but I was thinking about it...what if EVERY DEV consider their save game DATA that could be shared? 1) You could share Fargoal savegames with a simple drag and drop from iTunes. 2) Everybody could simbply drag and drop save games to some safe place, delete some apps, then reinstall those and re-drag the save game on the app...VOILA'!!! Savegame preserved. Do you think is possibile?
Hey, i was waiting since 1 week the update, thks Paul. Many, many explosion by chest and this is the second time potion breaks in my bag Don t know which one and how many were broken. I read this thread from the page 80-90 and i didn t see any post about enchanted weapon and how does it work cause when i got one, i didn t notice my battle skill level up. My weapon was enchanted during a blessing at a temple, didn t notice that before this update. Thks again for the update and time to play in Legend Mode now.
wobblez, so far there doesn't seem to be a random teleportation bug. We don't know if he was zapped by an ogre for what. Can't reproduce = no bug. And the "wonk" issue I will fix, but the wonk may stay in the game anyway... TBD. Nope, just checked the code and monsters can't pick up wands, only humans can. So, not a bug until further notice. Pitta, yeah we'll try to figure something out. melendil, enchanted weapons are sharper, do more damage. So it adds a raw damage amount to your hits! You can check for your +enchantment in the pause menu. Also enchanted weapons enjoy the battle, and will glow when enemies are nearby. As well, being magical items, they may react to other powerful magical items in a special way... Also, when a potion breaks you can see the coloured smoke that indicates what kind of potion it is.

Who have I to thank for my potions being destroyed? I'm really liking the update after 2 weeks of no Fargoal playing... I didn't noticed before but....does an enchanted sword glow when magical objects are nearby????
