Game looks good, sounds great. I don't know how fair the gameplay is gonna be, turning around in circles only to find a Zombie attacking your back every few seconds, might feel kind of cheap. For .99 I'll probably get the game.

    Hey Constanza!

I attached a screen shot of the options screen. There are settings for both Compass and Tilt.

    Thx!

    I didn't realize what m/quote was.

Great ideas - most of which are in the Que. Once the 1st version is approved for sale, we'll upload an update that includes a shotgun amongst other additions.

As of now, the gameplay is one location. Our plans are to expand it to additional locations down the road.

SurrounDEAD was submitted to Apple on 6/30 and should be available around the 6th or so. Maybe sooner - maybe later.

Great point. Version 1.01 features a more robust Zombie generation structure.

A shotgun, huh? That could be pretty cool. Have you guys considered more locations?

Over time, were going to expand the infected city in future releases.
Can't wait for the first zone to get experienced. It's very intense. It's unreal. The compass has a lower refresh rate compared to the accelerometer and it adds to the action in a manner I haven't experienced going back to pong. Like uve said earlier, we've planned this gameplay for over a year and playing it brought our concepts to reality in a number of days!!

    Thx,
    HHG

This looks too awesome. I can imagine the compass controls really adding to the general feel of actually defending yourself from a zombie attack.

The compass really brings a new level of difficulty to the game - making it even a more frantic fight for survival... Shotguns really help! (in version 1.01) When the zombies are close and they attack the screen - its very intense...

    Thx!

We should be hitting the app store in the next day or two. Approvals usually hit between 5 and 6 pst. As soon as it's released, we will submit the first update.

    Thx!

Doesn't look bad at all. Big fan of House of the Dead. Definitely give this a try.

Does anyone else think that touching specifically where you want to shoot impedes too much on the screen? Your finger creates a giant blind spot. I dunno, maybe that's just me.

There are so many times that you are taking out 2 or 3 zombies at a time - I'm not sure what other input mechanic we could leverage for the game. Moving a reticle would slow the pace of the action. Any ideas??

We can't wait either. The game was submitted last Tuesday. Without the holiday, it shouuld have been released monday. Hopefully today - but then again - I'm not sure what the backlog is in the App Store.

    Updates? Of course!

    Our first update features:
    MORE ZOMBIES!
    Expanded Zombie AI
    Shotgun upgrade
    Balanced game play.

And.... If this game is well received.. There is a whole infected world waiting to be cleaned!

Lookin' good so far. I'm really curious to see how well the compass mechanic works, I could picture that being a BLAST. I haven't read the whole thread, but I hope you can turn it off if you want to. Or if that it's not such a part of the game that people who don't have the 3GS won't enjoy it.

    Hey astrosaurus!

Compass can be turned on and off. We have Two control schemes and are currently working on a third. We've learned, that offering a variety of control schemes opens up the game to a wider audience of players.

    Thx!

I'm assuming you mean multiple stages and stuff when you say, "... there is a whole infected world waiting to be cleaned!" If so, that would be awesome. Were you thinking just cities or other types of environments? At the very least, it'd be awesome to see a few different city level styles.

    Hey iheartgames,

To lock down the game play pattern, isolate any performance issues, and to define the product - the game is initially in one location.

Based on response and feedback, we can expand, create and push this into an episodic zombie game!

    Thx!
