You can do both actually , as you bring discs together they also grow in size. Larger discs move slower so they are a bigger risk to keep around but larger discs also result in a size bonus (if they are big enough). You can also earn combo bonuses by creating multiple 7s at the same time.
wow great job Top Monkey it looks great, sounds great, and is very enjoyable and gets interesting quick lol my only suggestion would be some different backgrounds would be cool
Yes. The game is ready for release. I am just finished about 60%. I cannot find bug at this moment from my device. Addons: Maybe can add EASY, NORMAL, HARD mode (different block speed and score). It can also add some different achievements. I will think more about add-on in this few days and update here. ^^
that would be nice i this game is very addicting maybe a speed up button like in flight control would be nice
Game Impressions Impressive stuff here! While I think it has already been covered, I'll try to re-sum up the gameplay here. Numbered disc come floating onto the play screen and you're tasked with drawing lines between discs to bring those together that would make exactly 7 (or -7). Should and discs bump into each other that would add up to more than 7 (or less than -7) the game ends. Besides the fact you're dealing with numbers, something that kind of sets this apart from, say, Aqua Globs, is that the game will let you draw a single line through multiple discs to bring them all together. So with a single line you could link a 5, -2, and 4. As long as the unmodified 5 never touches the 4 directly, these three discs will float right into each other eventually creating a 7. Simply linking two discs that add up to 7 is worth 1 point. To make the big points you need to either do one or both of the following. Create 7s by using several discs (every time two discs come together, they form a much bigger and slower moving disc of their combined total which will only get bigger and slower the more you add to it). Creating multiple 7s at once will also get you a nice bonus. How this works is a bit like the flower blooms in Green Fingers. So, basically, once discs combine to make a 7, a shimmering 7 will remain on the field for several seconds. If you manage to have another 7 made while that first 7 is still shimmering you'll score a combo. While not sure, I think scoring this combo will even reset the time for the first 7's fade out so that, if you move quickly you can even string another 7 into this scoring combo. While having other discs bump into these shimmering 7s is harmless in itself, they do act as temporary bumpers which could result in unintended collisions of number discs. The game starts off with just a few carefully paired discs (like if you see a 6 coming on screen you're almost guaranteed to see a 1 floating in from the other side), but as the game continues the game takes off the training wheels (it would appear) with a much more random distribution often requiring you to pair more than two discs (even some negative numbers) to get to 7 as well as the game's handful of power-ups. The Power-ups: Joker: Pair this with anything to make a 7. Multiplier: This floating x2/x3 will multiply whatever number it hits so you need to be extra careful these multipliers never hit any of the bigger numbers (4+) or else it will instantly be game over. Flip: This little black and white power-up will switch any disc it touches to its polar opposite (a 1 becomes -1 or a -3 will then become a 3). Great line drawing fun with OF support (the one leaderboard and several 7 themed achievements), a local scoreboard, and full career statistics. A final cute bit to add to the competitive nature of the game is that if you have any sort of Wi-Fi/3G connection, the game will continuously update you with your current Global ranking as well as what score you'll need to beat to move up a rung. At the end of the game you'll see your final score, number of 7s made, and your ranking globally as well as your current ranking among your OF friends. 5/5 It seems like a complete game already so I have no idea what remains to be done other than, I guess, adding some more polish and or difficulty balancing (not that I think it needs either but you know how perfectionists are).
just wanted to write my impressions but they are nearly equal to yours but may one thing could be added some special powerups like a slow down powerup @LordGek the only button i see there is the pause button for all first gen device user : this game runs very smooth and fast so you can pick this up without any regrets
I don't have the game in front of me here but I thought there was some double arrow like fast forward button at the center bottom.
Yeah mattll the speed up button is on the lower left hand side its transparent so a little hard to see, so thats my only suggestion to make the pause and speed up buttons more visible
A highly polished and very enjoyable game, echo all the above really, great product that I hopes sells really well for you. Forgot to say, not a single bug found
Really like it so far, got myself an awesome score on my 10th or so game earlier. A couple of things to point out, sometimes the fast forward button doesn't appear but then I exit out and it does. The game drains my battery something insane, I must have played 20 minutes and it ate up 20% of my battery, no lie. Also, when you are racking up the points things get mad on screen, some power ups to freeze time or remove some of the clutter may be helpful! Great stuff in my opinion, no bugs at all otherwise here.
After I played this morning on the way to work, I think DEV can add something to it. More discs: (C) - to reset any number to zero. (/) - to divid a number into two (i.e. 4 -> 2 + 2, 5 -> 3 + 2) More difficult level: EASY - More (1), (2) and less (5) (6) NORAML - Just like now. HARD - More (3), (4) and less (1) (2) or something like this. Achievement Thing: There is an achievement (Don't draw a line fore 17 seconds after you've scored at least 17 points.) I think this achievements should only count one game data. But I found that is count the total time from all games you played. Progress: 64% (6 achievement left).
Thanks for all the feedback everybody! I'm very glad that you are all enjoying Super 7. I think I'm going to submit the game to Apple today! I'll add all the great ideas that have been posted so far to my version 1.1 list and I'll try to include as many of them as possible in the first update. I'll probably combine some of the awesome special disc ideas into a new (more difficult) game mode. Thanks again and if you have any more suggestions for future updates please keep posting them.
