@heif, Don't you lose BP when you RQ? edit: it's a stupid question, but lost BP when I RQ in ranked..
Oh boy! Those Friendly matches were silly fun weren't they? haha I was literally laughing when I played your Cammy with other characters and Honda came the closest to beat you! I am still having problems finding a 2nd character but it seems like Honda could be my answer! FYI, I used to main Honda back in the original SF2!
For those who have +3500 BP, your 3rd disconnect with lead to minus BP (128BP?) and a loss on your record + a free trip to the rage quitter hell server - correct me if I am wrong. I don't know if the rules remind the same for +4000 BP and I do not dare to try! BTW: I am rolling! +3800BP and a 40 game winning streak - just because I haven't been running into Viper or good Cammy during this stretch
Very nicely reinvented dhalsim, Ken|Ken. Your 'sim used to be a very excellent zoning 'sim, and now you've changed it to a pesky tricky wait'n'cobra-strike 'sim. Nicely done.
Grajulman, I am sorry to hear that! BTW, welcome to TA! I don't know what happened during that match. But for myself, a bad lag that leads to a loss would be my only reason I quit. As a Touch Arcade SF4V community, we are keen on having good Ranked etiquette because we are all representatives of this lovely TA SF4V community. Lag happens all the time. After playing so many SF4V sets, I figure if I need to quit, I quit early and don't wait until the match goes completely out of hand. The last minute rage quit is the worst kind of quit.
Thanks! But don't forget there are many guys like me all over the world! <-- some SF1 reference for you, son! haha Against your Viper or any Viper!! I need to play a flat-out run-away LAME game! urgh!
I lost to a low ranked Abel because of lag where I was ready to hit him and the game froze and he was able to launch an ultra due to the delay. I didn't quit because BP doesn't matter much to me but I quit on the versus screen thereafter when I met him. Why play someone knowing lag will be bad. Also good games yesterday. Your Gief tactics were hilarious...I knew you were having trouble catching me so I was laughing the whole match too Honda is actually a bad matchup for Cammy IMO because he has a decent anti-air and turtles quite a bit. But your Honda was definitely better than your Gief The Ryu mirrors were funny too but I mained Ryu for a long time in Volt so the results weren't surprising. Congrats on your win streak. Its tough to get there. My best is 39 wins...i choked on the 40th win. I've decided not to fight TA members I know well in ranked. I just don't want to take their BP as some still strive to get higher. Don't be offended if I leave at vs. in ranked against you so you don't have to worry about this pesky Cammy coming after your BP
Nah! It's all good! Win steak will eventually end (Red Wings and Jeremy Lin!). I do not mind playing your Cammy on Ranked! There is nothing wrong with losing to good players. Fffan, POLICE V, -40C(F), squall2002, NYC-Chinatown, Nyak, YYOJJO, you... the list goes on... If you run into me on Ranked and decline, make sure you send me a request! I will play hide and seek with your Cammy on Friendly! wahahaha Why is my Gief tatic funny? I thought I started off patient but quickly got antsy and frustrated! haha. Our Friendlies yesterday just exposed my sole weakness - no 2nd character :-/ I did not start SF4/AE/2012/Volt with shoto characters. I started with Sim and I stick with him. I learn Honda from SUPA-PHUKA's replays and from our matches. His name is offensive but he is easily the best Honda around. SF4V talk on Monday at work! What fun!
Haha I feel like the community is shifting from "NO QUITTING" to "NO QUTTING, (Except for when you lose to lag or are overly frustrated with you opponents playstyle or are facing a known quitter)" Quitting is Quitting and there's really no excuse for it other than a phone call in my opinion. If your opponent frustrates you then learn from that match on how to deal with people who play that way, if there is lag then I will just stand there and get beat on or wait for the other person to DC and if I face a known quitter I just fight them if they win I could care less but if they lose I still beat them who cares if I didn't get their prized BP. I have crazy respect for the people that play on here regardless of their skill because like apprunner said we tend to pride ourselves on good online etiquette. Moral of the story is don't be lame.
SUPA definitely knows Honda. SUPA and JePa are the two best Honda players to me. About your 2nd character.. um.. Try someone that relates to how you play. I have Fei as my 2nd character because I like to be aggressive and he fits the bill perfectly. You like to space and keep away, so what about Bison? He has a teleport as well, good moves to keep people back, and he can mixup opponents. .
Yeah... you are right... All of a sudden BP and Ranking seem to become a big deal to me again... urgh... I just want my personal-best win streak ended by a good player but not by lag... that's why
Thanks bro! Not only I like to space and run away, I like to play mind games too! I will keep your opinions in mind! How can I miss you on my top player list!? There are many more to be named... haha In fact, a lot of people in TA can beat me on a regular basis!
It's a tendency since a couple months. I think quitting on VS screen on a known quitter is ok. In my personal case, it's not because of getting nothing after the match, it's about the fact my battery is so broken that I really had to stop gaming like I used to do it. So at least for me is a waste of time and energy. What is super lame is facing a known rage quitter with a "I'm gonna kick his fake ass" thought, lose and quit on the KO. Other situations like usual RQ, complain about lame players who beat me or refusing a matchup are still lame IMO. The problem is not to RQ or do that stupid things sometime. The problem is when that becomes a habit.
