Last 5 ranked games I've done 1 and done. No rematch. The reason is that a 2000 BP guy gives 1 BP and it's usually me wailing on them in the corner. Very boring. Am I in the wrong?
A little. It's giving BP's more importance. If that's your goal, it's ok, but reading some of your old posts seems like it's not. Give the guys a chance of a rematch. Who knows? Maybe the first character wasn't the main one.
Yes. 2000BP players don't usually adjust to new strategies while in the game so a second or third rematch might be what it takes to be competitive. I usually go 3 matches but if I smash on them I will let them decide if they want a rematch by waiting until they press rematch. I know for some low BP players they just want the experience and they don't care if you destroy them, they just want to see what's possible and what the could eventually become.
That's true. I will give them another chance then. But they are getting really bad in ranked in terms of skill. Unless they completely turtle or Spam. Then it's not worth the headache.
Consider the posibilities. Lag or annoying gameplay = 1 match. If you beat them easily, wait for him to press the rematch button, as iwvshane told. Any other case, give at least a rematch. Well, that's what I usually do.
I used to give people rematches, a lot actually, more than 2 games too. But the pattern of them always counter-picking Akuma or Sagat really got annoying fast. Then they would either lame me out and quit if they won or rage quit if they lose.

In the past I stopped giving rematches, the patter was 'if you beat me 2 straight matches, I quit in the second'. After the update that happens less to me, but now there are more who RQ in the 1st match. Maybe it's because of the current tournament. Players are testing new characters on ranked instead of friendlies. Or that's what I wanna think. Otherwise, maybe the game is dying o.o
I always give at least 1 rematch if requested unless it's a complete mismatch or the other player played in a fashion that completely took away the fun of the game.
