I get my props from Cyrus himself, I don't need your validation.... I headstomp on wake up and his strat is to guess by dashing back and ultra. It's all a mind game between us. I'm friends with Cyrus we play often and he beats me more than I beat him, but that's because he's good at guessing with the random ultra and super... I tried sagat against Cyrus geif today... I did terribly lOl. I was actually able to do a better job using sim, Cyrus is so quick and aggressive it's crazy
Cammy sucks against Geif. He grabs everything. lol. Supposedly Sagat is Geifs Kryptonite. Bison does good against him too. Just tryin to stay afloat against him.
Cammy's really good against Gief, in comparison to Yun. Soooo much easier. Although cyrus is a different story.
I havent found any good anti gief characters yet. The best I have is Viper, and the consist of me burnkicking every second of the match. Dhalsim is probably the only one I can see really handling gief.
I'm still new to Gief, but I'm finding that a good Blanka is really hard for him to catch. If you try to crossover on wakeup, Blanka can easily dodge it with a diagonal ball. That takes away an important part of my offense (so far. again, I'm still learning). Bison matches can take a while if they're cowardly, but, so far, he's definitely not a real tough one. Most of his SP leaves him vulnerable for a moment and he has terrible anti-air attacks. I just have to watch my feet for that damn slide. Sim is my toughest opponent so far. Every one of them I've fought with Gief so far just backed up constantly, fireballed, and poked to keep me back. The clock almost ran down every round. I'm getting there, though.
As Blanka, the more aggressive the Gief the more the match is in your favor. If the Gief plays a smart, cautious turtle game, it's much tougher.
Akuma. I mained him for a long time (I'm still most competent with him) and Gief has always been my easiest opponent, with a doubt. Gief can destroy him with just a couple moves, but an aggressive, smart Akuma can tear into him nonstop and never get caught. Most matches I could get the Gief to cower, so I could just walk up and throw him. I've had more perfects against Gief than anybody. There isn't even a second place. You have to be aggressive, though. The runaway Akumas aren't very effective. Note: None of that is relevant to Cyrus Nothing ever never is. hmmm, I think you're right. I'm still working on character specifics with him. Fireball spammers are still my toughest problem.
