I know its annoying when to the other player when you just will not let them get near you and just keep punishing, but why the f would you change your strategy to let geif grab you? If you can keep him out with standing kicks and fire balls, why change strategy? so he can grab you? thats crazy!
Great advice Mooken! I knew somebody was going to say that eventually. That's kind of what it sounded like I was complaining about, but not quite what I meant. The people I fought last night wouldn't even fight. They were friendly matches, so they didn't mind losing. They would just run away or do obnoxious stuff like that Sim they whole time. Half the time they wouldn't even attack me. I'm guessing putting "Gief noob" as my tag encouraged it. I had one real fight the entire time playing. Everybody else just spammed (and I mean hardcore blindly mashing SP spam) or ran and wouldn't attack. About five different people would start crouch punching or something else useless and do that for an entire round nonstop. Seriously, I got nothing but d-bags. It was like a flood of twelve year olds. The guys with the hydokens were just annoying. I'm still learning Gief, so I'm not too good at dealing with spam yet.
Happy birthday, FINIX! Even though you're not online. Edit: Also, regarding Zangief, doing a normal throw is good when your opponent is walking towards you. Your standing hand attack will either hit them, or you'll counter their throw. Probably won't work a lot, though. Cyrus has better strategies, either way.

I just uploaded some good replays... my favorite one is 7 rounder against Cyrus, keep in mind he beat me previous set, but I fought very well in the one I uploaded... I am proud

Cyrus is definitely an S tier. I was only able to beat him 3 or 5 times when I mained Viper, and I played spammy Viper. Burning Kicks galore, neutral Burning Kicks, random Seismo Hammers that weren't actually random, and the EX-terminator, EX Seismo Hammer. Then he figured out how to beat me and I lost.
Cyrus is S tier for sure... Our matches are total mind games.... we were both talking about it. They could go either way, but it just depends on who guesses right. on the very last round of the set, you can see I get in the groove very well against him. It just takes on mistake and his ultra gets me lol
