Here's the deal..we have 3 spaces open on AccentCore and I'm willing to boot any randoms so that will clear up 2/3 more spaces making for 5/6 spaces in all. The way I see it (and I'm not saying this just because I'm the team leader, I don't really care how it goes down) it doesn't make any sense to start a new team and have to grind out TPs for spaces when we've already got half the forum on an existing team. So, with that said, does anyone recognize the following names as TA members: ju1xe SimplyZeBest wildgoats67 jl0713 I just booted Mikkel's old account so now we have 4 spaces available and if we boot the 4 names above (pending recognition of course) then we have 8 spaces and may have almost enough to get everyone over on AccentCore after a bit more grinding. NINJA EDIT: I also agree that we should all put "TouchArcade.com" in our sig.
-40, great fights. There was a time you we're godly and there was nothing I could do and you would just suck all my BP, now I get to suck that BP back
ju1xe is my bud, he's been in a few of our tourneys. hope you folks don't mind him contributing to the team. he mains honda exclusively. says he's still waiting to fight a good cammy and a good bison. get'im, boyz
This actually makes sense, no point in throwing away a high ranked team because a few of us don't have a home. I snagged an open spot on TAAC hope no one minds I would just disband the Toucharcade.com one so we don't have a third team just hanging out.
So. For those in the Chun-Li tourney, some tips! If your opponent doesn't have a good reversal, or they don't shoryuken all the time, St. P - Hazanshu can catch them off guard. Chun-Li has the longest grab range in the game; learn how far and train it into your style. Chun-Li also has an air grab. Use it whenever possible. You can land two of her down kicks in the air if you jump right next to your opponent and start it immediately. It can confuse the opponent a bit, but not recommended against skilled players. Her sweep is godlike. You can even hit people in the air with it. Use it. Her Cr. LK x2 - Hyakuretsakyu is a true blockstring, which will leave you safe and with a nice little amount of meter. Her Hosenka can hit from full screen. Make sure to almost always have this charged against projectile users. If you're a bit of a ways across from your opponent, Hazanshu over fireballs. EX Hazanshu is very effective and causes an untechable knockdown (I think). Her forward/backward jumping kick is really good at crossing up. Be careful with it, though, because her jumps are way floaty. Kikoken is a pretty good projectile move, in a way. Make sure you use it at around half a screen away from your opponent. EX Spinning Bird Kick is pretty much Chun's only way to escape wakeup pressure. Her super is a 1-frame punish. Only use it to get a huge life lead or finish your opponent off. EX Hyakuretsakyu is an easy way to get into Hosenka in the corner. Her forward kick combo thing can combo you into super in the corner. No meter needed. If you land a focus attack, always do Cr. HP - Spinning Bird Kick if you can. Otherwise, just sweep them. Her backdash is wonderful. The best in the game. Use it a lot. Her standing kick is actually very good against people who like to jump. Also a good poke. Her Cr. P is a poke. Poke them. Sorry about all the messiness.
I fought him recently. Thanks to my matches against Felix the other night, I think I beat him handily.
I think the problem that people are having is that it's not this simple. TA has always been the more active team (10 trophies, including 2 platinum) and is currently leading TAAC in both active tournies. We're just trying to figure out the best way to have all the long-term members join ranks while still getting the TA name out there.
Mimimapu''s Yun skill level? Slightly Below Average (If the replays are anything to go by) Someone get him to join so I can tutor him in the ways of Yun.
I was trying to watch one of the replays from our matchup recently and accident uploaded one. It's actually a pretty good match. I hope you don't mind.
Hey! Welcome we still have 4 spots open.... You're right, it's a pity to loose all that accomplishment. However, we can go beyond two platinum if we are unified in one team.
I don't mind. Show the world the good and bad of my Yun, it'll only lead them to accurately estimate me, underestimate me, or overestimate me. Either way is fine with me (honest!). Going to go see which one it is. Edit: Gosh, I can't believe that was me. Sort of scrubby, in my opinion.
That was the match where you pulled off that nasty juggling in the first round and left me terrified of your Yun. I think you played great but let me come back in the 1st and 3rd rounds to pull out a win. From my perspective, that would be your good, but probably not your best (which I saw flashes of). I'll be curious to hear your opinion in retrospect. Edit after seeing your edit: There's always Monday morning quarterbacking to be done, but as your opponent I was left very impressed.
Too bad Snooper wont log in and read your PM.. does Shoryutofu have to hand off his sub status for the TA team to be fully operational again if Snooper is able to hand off his with your French fix?
