Sagat is my main, and that can be an ok match. But he's not a rush down character, so I'm ok with being defensive. But cammy turns rush down characters into turtles with the spiral arrow/uppercut combo. The fact that there is a decent range where she can throw out the spiral arrow and have it not only be safe of block, but also unpublishable on reaction, and unpublishable with a neutral jump - well that kinda sucks. It just makes me hold down back. And I don't play charge characters because I don't like holding down back! Oh, and heaven forbid theres lag or you're half a frame late with that focus attack release - eat another boot to the grill. Not saying she's OP or broken, just that I don't have a lot of fun playing against her.
Cammy sure is pesky But in the grand scheme of things, she is mid-tier at best. A lot of weaknesses, doesn't do too much damage, no ability to chip damage, and no way to cross up without dive kicks. Once you get the hang of her, she's not too hard to deal with
Part of the Sagat hate is because his Ultra is overpowered and imo there isn't enough recovery on the TK. Guile's Ultra is so situational and he can't do tons of damage at once. But I think you can gauge what play styles are the most viable in a given game by who's top tier. Seeing as how Sagat, Ryu, and Akuma are the top tiers in this game, it's a pretty safe bet that zoning is the most favorable playstyle.
Lets not forget Guile is a zoning defensive top tier character. PV and SLRC are extremely good and I've seen a couple others that are in the 4k range. Balrog is also the other top tier but only one guy know how to play him truly right There are other players such as Bison, Viper, and Geif in that top tier list but not so much of the other characters.
I watched it in the theatres. Professor Dhalsim needed more lines. They should have Deejay's red michael jackson leather suit as DLC. oh .. my .. goodness .. THEY SHOULD HAVE SF:THE MOVIE DLC !!!! with digitized character skins for EVERYONE !!!!!

Random Sakura factoid - EX uppercut is significantly easier to cancel into LVL2 focus than regular uppercut.
Guile's good at zoning but he's not as good at it as Sagat, Ryu, or Akuma are. There are characters that have almost literally (notice I said ALMOST) NO answer to a runaway Akuma or a Sagat or Ryu that have their zoning game straight. Even Dhalsim can zone out a lot of characters who have no recourse but to wait, dodge, and hope Sim messes up (Guile being one of these characters.) The defensive/zoning/runaway style of play definitely rules in this game and the top tiers reflect that. And I don't think Balrog is top tier. He's a decent character, but he doesn't have the tools the more zoning-oriented characters do. I'd say he's upper-mid/mid-tier at best. The fact that folks like TenOnez, Snooper, Nashberry, and yourself (from what I hear anyway, we need to play a few sets! ) are able to do as well with the characters y'all have chosen says more about your abilities as players than it does the characters themselves. If you guys picked higher tier zoning characters, you'd probably win even MORE and drive the rest of us absolutely batshit insane!
