They f*cking ruined Bison with that latest patch... F*cking awful. Useless crossup, major damage nerfs all around, what were they thinking?
His Devils Reverse hits crouching opponents now, though (and there's other stuff). He's still very effective. I'm glad that they nerfed him, personally. Because I play Yun. Just watch Heif or fffan or TheXion play Bison. They're pretty awesome.
That funny thing is that every time I get a ranked drop, it takes a big toll on my BP. I rarely pick up ranked drops, but had 2 over the weekend. The first was from my wife refusing to take no for an answer and calling me 3-4 times during a match. The last 1 finally automatically disconnected my match after the 1st round, which I think I've heard is the standard. Then yesterday I was in the 3rd round of a close match. My opponent was blocking my ultra (standing) and as I was going in for a low punch, which would have put me on the verge of winning, I squeezed my iPhone too tightly and accidently hit the button on top of the phone. I don't know if they counted as a loss, but I dropped a lot of BPs on each one and they both counted as a ranked drop. I've heard people say that they don't always count, but I know mine (which are very rare) always have.
You're absolutely correct, which is probably part of the reason why you're so high these days. When I play in small spurts, my BP soars. When I play with a goal of getting to x BPs, it's very hit or miss. I need to work on my discipline.
Yeah, it's saying something that Bison is still easily a top tier character after being nerfed. I really liked Snooper's further nerf idea of devil's reverse that he mentioned many, many pages ago.
Anyone who is crouching while Bison is in midair is a fool anyway. My main complaint is the bastardization of his crossup. I main'd as him, and wakeup pressuring was extremely effective until the latest patch. Used to be a 3200BP bison, down to 1500 now. Pretty damn frustrating bro.
Don't forget the Korean doppelganger of fffan. They are both 4k Bisons and play EXACTLY THE SAME!! Everyone should list out doppelgangers they found of their character. Please shout if anyone has played my Cammy doppelganger!
wake up pressure is still extremely effective... also I descovered a new move for Bison.... VERYYYYYYYYYYY effective... I wsa a 2200 BP Bison before last update, now I am floating around the 4k area since update, I think overall the update helped Bison....
Look up replays under my name (HEIF-37).... there is a recent one with Cammy and one with Abel, you can see the cammy spiral arrow wrong direction, also abel starts attacking wrong direction, if your movment and timing is right, you can connect the skull crusher to almost any move after the blocked headstomp.... takes a lot of practice but I am finally getting the hang of it, very effective against most mid teir players as they automatically think they know how to deal with typical bison... love when I play ryu or ken and they hurricane kick backwards in air over and over hahaha lately I have been letting the time run out against people who have 0 offence
Well, now yeah. Before, punishing devil's reverse by ducking under it was a huge part of a solid bison counter strategy. I dunno, if you ask me, that cross up kick needed to get nerfed. It was far and away the best crossup in the game.
I really kinda hate cammy. The only way to play against her is to turtle, which I don't like doing. Especially with sakura. But I'm so tired of baiting moves and watching her recover and uppercut before I can punish.
Agreed. Snooper used to bitch about how tough the Guile matchup was, but as Guile, if you don't wanna get wrecked, you pretty much HAVE to keep her away, or block and punish uppercuts. Speaking of Guile, I can confirm that in this latest update, the range of his crouching Fierce (the uppercut) has been nerfed. It doesn't hit as far out laterally as it used to which makes certain matches a bit more difficult now.
OMG........... every freaken blanka I have encountered on rank today with something about RQing in their comment has RQ... assholes
You'll soon come to find that you'll never lose your drive to Main your Main. Been there, you'll have doubts, you might even main someone else for a week or 2, but all that hard work and effort you put into that character forms a strong bond thats suprisingly hard to break. Or maybe its just me lol?
