I guess mirror matches are a good way to rate a player because I know I lose to scrubby blankas all the time
This. Mirror matches in general are bad, but cammy mirrors are awful. Theyre super, super lame, usually it just ends up being a staring contest, until someone walks up and throws. And cannon strike is useful for baiting uppercuts, but youre right about not being able to use it like you usually do. IMO cammy beats ken though, you just have to be patient.
I don't see a lot of cammys focus cancel (I believe snooper does) or use a focus attack in general. How is cammys focus? Would it be useful against Ken? How is the match different when fighting other shotos?
Blanka confuses me. He can: 1) Fall from a jump at 10x the speed of a normal man/animal in Earth's gravity. 2) Can knock somebody backwards, causing significant physical damage and possible knocking them unconscious, by just touching their toes with his fingers... as long as he's on his back. Anybody else find that odd?
I didn't use lower tier but my secondary characters such as Ryu and Ken. I didn't do too bad but Hieu pretty much stomped me. Also, our mirror was close so Hieu deserves all the credit. Don't mess with his Cammy cause she is way "Pesky"
Man these last few days online have beaten me down real HARD. Ive lost about 1000 BP in a short couple of hours. All to the scrubbiest Kens, the out of control cammy's, the invincible Sagat's, the untouchable Guiles and the all dominating Bisons. I'd include Blanka in there too but hes a rare sight and plus Im out of adjatives. My record is now in the negatives and despite my effort and resilience to stick out with Fei, the urge to switch to one of the characters above is forever getting stronger, while my resilience grows weaker with each daunting loss and humiliating defeat. I'm contemplating switching Fei out just for ranked and still play him for a main on friendlies. I dont know, what I do know is Im tired of losing and Im sure Fei is too.
Yo D4Gamers~ When you getting tired~ play awhile in friendly to get back your confident on Fei~ also maybe you still not sure how Fei work and match up against the above character~ Voloster has a good Fei~ you can check out his replay~ it will give you some tips~ sticking on under used character is definitely not easy~ but dont give up if ya still have the passion for Fei~ My main is Makoto~ the road for her is even tougher than Feilong~ so... CHEER UP~ and believe you will play better~
Your words have given me back my drive to continue playing Fei, thanks! I also have to agree with my lack of knowledge of the matchups, i still dont know everything about this game yet but Im still learning. Hopefully these things will come with time. And yeah i've been eatching Volosters Replays....more than you know.
I don't have a video yet, but I'll give you guys the strategy to You Hou - Genei Jin - Zesshou Hohou anywhere. Focus Attack - Backdash - You Hou (you need to land the second or third hit; not the first) - Genei Jin - Zesshou Hohou - Senpukyaku - Cl. St. MK - Raigeki Shuu - Dash - Zenpou Tenshin - Cl. St. MK x2 - Zesshou Hohou - Cr. MP - Nishokyaku I think this uses up all the GJ time.
I'm actually working on some crazy lots of hits combos. I've been thinking about doing a combo video myself, but maybe we could combine our efforts. Nah the guide I have is for Volo's site. But there could be more than one guide up there for the same character. You know, I've always wondered that myself....
Wandering warrior has nothing to do with the actual wons or losses you get in friendly or ranked matches. Its a useless Yu-Gi-Oh type feature that puts up your player card. Vs your opponents player card. Whoever has the stronger titles on their card wins.
Cammy has a decent focus but her playstyle is to be fast and move around the screen utilizing her speed. Focus kinda defeats that purpose in many instances. It has its uses against turtlers but if a Ken turtles and you try to focus him, he does the hurricane kick and his Uppercut is armor breaking. Ryu also punishes with Cr. lk and fireball combo easily (not to mention hurricane kick is armor breaking).
