In theory AccentCore is hurting TouchArcade in general due to dilution of talent across both teams. Do we want to decent teams in the rankings or 1 varsity team and 1 JV team?
And for Ayjona -- you're going to see a lot of the following characters online, and likely have trouble with them: Blanka - Great cross-up jump kick with a short jump trajectory + short landing time, along with annoying quick low-kicks. Low diving punch is also super-quick start-up. M.Bison - Great damage and range on his jump kick and standing kick. His scissor kick is very hard to punish on-block (can anyone punish it on block?!). Sagat - An ultra that does 50% damage with invincible start-up. A hard-to-punish tiger knee (1-hit is unpunishable on-block, 2-hit is sometimes punishable). C.Viper - Ridiculous ability to fly through the air to close gaps and create distance, and lots of flames and electricity that's hard to punish on-block. Akuma - Friggin' teleporting to safety and playing keep-away, along with very damaging double roundhouse-uppercut combo. His Ultra is an amazing anti-air, invincible start-up. and fireballs galore. Cammy - Pesky as hell, high-priority uppercut move, great walk speed, great wake-up mix-up between the uppercut move and grabs. Ken - The recovery on his shoryuken is lightning quick, the moment he lands, he can uppercut again. So you're better off trying to punish a missed SRK earlier than later. Ryu - Good all-around, has effective fireball-uppercut zoning, beware his neutral jumpkick>sweep or crossup jumpkick>sweep. crouchkick>fireball is also plenty safe. Don't be disheartened, I'm sure there are ways to deal with them all.
Let me help you guys with some ideas for your tourney: 1.- Best of 3 matches - 3 rounds. 2.- No restrictions with the characters. 3.- The challenger must send an edited game request (to know that there will be a challenge, not a friendly match). 4.- If some get a disconnection by notification, the match will count to the opponent. 5.- If there's awful lag and some disconnect the match won't count for anyone. In that casa is up to the players to continue or treat the set (or challenge) as null. 6.- If there's a disconnection by external situations (the net went down, need to leave, etc.), the match won't count for anyone, and it's up to the players to continue or treat the set (or challenge) as null. 7.- There's no limit of challenges per day. 8.- The current king must accept at least x number of challenges per day, otherwise he won't be recongnized as a king. There could be exceptions for avaliability situations, in that case most players have to agree to let him keep the title of king.
RQ more rampant for me back then. I think friendlies are more fun right now...people play really defensive when BP is at stake. Some of the ranked are like tracking to crack a walnut...just turtle turtle turtle BTW, i think Akuma and Sagats have the most RQ because they are the easiest characters to win with. You can teleport around and spam and actually do pretty well...if they get beat, they don't have the mental fortitude to take a loss People that pick the lower tier characters tend to take the game more seriously and know that RQ is not in the best interests of the game.
When I lose to these 2 I always feel like D/C because I always feel its total BS. 1/3 of my life left, I'm in the lead and of course; raging demon/Tgr up FADC k ultra. Arghhh /Charlie brown.
Well TA has definitely been hurt by the emergence of TAAC but I don't blame people for wanting to join a team and compete when TA was always full and people were fighting over spots. So it definitely makes it harder to compete against PV, who appears to put up about 75% of his team's TPs, but it's no big deal. I just wish I was back to contributing. I'm not sure I follow you on the varsity v. JV? TA definitely has more members but there are some great players on TAAC that could never be considered JV.
I'm not saying its JV now but if we starting funneling players back to TA as the main team to get higher rankings, AccentCore would become sort of like a JV team to graduate to TA Definitely not saying its like that right now.
people have been rage quitting on me lately in friendlies - i've been sending the same message to them every time: "Quitting in a friendly match? Yo, hold that L real close, son."
Oh I gotcha. I really shouldn't get a say on what happens with TAAC since I'm biased and just want TA to win, which we haven't done as consistently lately. But hell, it's just a game.
you got sagat's knee wrong - 2 hit always punishable on block, 1 hit sometimes punishable (when it hits on the way up)
I think bottom TP players should be kicked to team accent and the higher TP players on team accent should get promoted to team touch. Ever since team accent has been playing team touch has been struggling in tournaments and in general rankings. The last team I want to lose to is PV's team.
You should also consider members who were intentionally or unintentionally kicked from TA and had to join TAAC as a result. I was originally in TA but got kicked out for "unknown reasons" hmmmm It wasn't only me but others had the same fate as mine. Anyway, GGs Apprunner. Those matches were very close, I should be able to get a win next time
That's a crazy cut off point. TP can be contributed regardless of how much BP we have, so I think it should be solely based off of TP just how ivwshane stated it. Hmm... Can we transfer so AccentCore is the main one? Since none of us is "banned" from that one right? Is it possible for the captain to change team names?
Who am I to question your knowledge on Sagat, but are you sure this is still true after the update? The close 2-hit blocked knees still seem to always be punishable but the ones that are a little further away and seem to barely make it to a 2-hit blocked knee generally get me punished by an uppercut.
Same here, got kicked out of the team and got no explanation from TA team captain whatsoever! I joined TAAC because DoctaMario and DeltaRed were saying there was second team for TA players!
IT's almost too little too late. You can already play a lot of those games on a PSP either hacked or not. I don't see what the problem is with having 2 teams. Like Wediafom said, some folks got kicked from the TA team and now have no recourse to get back there. No. I created the team as a place for those of us who couldn't join TA, and we're our own team, its not some junior league thing or whatever you guys are saying. Again, why CAN'T there be two teams? And it's not like TA hasn't won every damn tournament that's gone on anyway. I don't understand you guys.
I don't know about TA but TAAC has all players contributing TPs. Our only problem is with a couple of players whose stats hasn't updated yet. That, I hope will be fixed soon...
