I was looking through the replays to see which ones I want to take a look at and I saw a ton of KaChigga replays from friendlies...funny thing is that they are all from low BP players who beat the crap out of me. I tend to play friendlies as a training tool so I pretty much look terrible most of the time. I think there are some great Cammys out there now. JePa is really good and so is MrJyro. Anyone here played them?
Ok, after playing SFIV Volt with the iCade (As well as modding my iCade with Sanwa Buttons) I can PROMISE that having the stick is a huge advantage, just based on playing people who previously pwned me on volt with the V-Pad, I held my own quite well much better. I really wanna face FFFan, DROQQA's Sagat, and the real Police Vietnam again with this stick... I dont know who the hell that POLICE VIETNAM was I played a few minutes ago, but I destroyed him, and he did just random mistakes the Real PV wouldnt have done... But the iCade is a huge advantage than the V-Pad on SFIV Volt. Also, UMK3 is SOOOOO Much Better, as well as Death Rally, Galaga, KOF, GTAIII, and the inevitible Ms. Pac-Man.
JePa is not good... he knows one good combo, he over-spammed the Cannon Drill, even after showing him I can just focus it. Maybe its me being good with ryu... but he wasnt that good to me. ( I played him in Ranked )
hey shinrukuszero, the last time I played with you 4-5 days ago. that game i won, I still do not understand what you say
I would love to pick up an iCade just to try this, I'm not sure it would be easy for everyone here to go from on screen controls to a physical stick though considering not a lot of TA member play on console. Do you know how the size and feel of the iCade compare to using a TE stick? For my own curiosity did you still use SP assist with the iCade or is it easier to play the game faithfully with the stick? I asking this assuming that you do play on consoles I figure it would be more natural feeling to use the correct inputs for moves when using the stick.
I kinda use both until I get the feeling back. I definitely still use the one button supers for Gief, but With Ryu (my main) its all normal inputs. I do find it easier to do combos WITHOUT the SP assist. Also I wouldn't compare this to a TE Stick as much as I would an SE Stick as the weight is about the same, and stock buttons feel the same. I do feel as though for gamers, Old School Ghost n Goblins and Final Fight Players like me who dont really wanna pirate games, the icade Jailbroken with Blutrol is probably the greatest thing ever!. With KOF, SFIV, and UMK3, you can turn the transparency all the way up so you dont even see the v-pad, and its a perfect fit!
I've seen a couple of his replays. I think one thing that I gave him credit for was playing many characters. I couldn't say whether he played them all well, but I noticed replays with like 5 different characters. I think I did see one replay of him using Cammy. He was good but my memory is that I didn't put him on the same level as Snooper or Apprunner. It's kind of vague though and I don't think I've actually played him.
I never played with Apprunner, but I agree with him not being on the same level as Snooper, as Snooper has a crazy mix up game... Lets see how good he does now I got my Stick!!!!! Also now im intrigued and wanna play apprunner lol
Something else I noticed... People I was great with on V-Pad (Makoto) I suck with again on Stick... I tried using SP controls, and i still suck with Makoto lol. And I love her on v-pad. Also Yun, and Balrog. I lost my V-pad skill and im just as bad with them as I am on AE2012
You know what im thinking of doing? I honestly wanna buy an iCade, send it to ol S'Kill, send him the blutrol app, and see if Capcom integrates native icade support...
I think for Makoto, touch screen with SP assist is good enough for her? Only disadvantage is the thumb will often cover the view on player 1 corner T.T At least for me I find that irritating~
I think the thing is, I play AE A lot, and im trying to translate those same controls with Makoto, and it isn't working, but when im on the V-Pad its a different feeling. But I did get a better feeling with Abel again, its just a different feeling, the iCade makes it feel completely different
I never play AE before so I'm okie with touchscreen control~ and i think she is slower compare to AE version~ but what she did in AE is able to do in volt~ iCade should be more suit character like Feilong and guile~ and shotos~
ESPECIALLY GUILE!!! I learned I can do some of those combos people do with SP assist, without it at all. I dont play Fei, but I would imagine it would be easier. I am a big Ryu Player, and a lot of my combos work better now, (jump hk -> crouch lp -> crouch hp ->EX Tatsu -> EX SRK -> FADC -> Metsu Hado)
They are updating it to use the classic Wii Mote... complete with analog screen swipe emulation with the sticks... This will DEFINITELY help with my Modern Combat 3 K Ratio lol. Now I can finally play this with my Apple TV without having to constantly check my controls lol. That tactile feed back is defintely a plus It Works with iControl Pad now in iCade mode
