I have the worst time with people who fight from the other side of the screen. You can have 500bp and still destroy me if you just refuse to get near me. It pisses me off too. I just fought a Sagat (2500bp or so). He lost both rounds in match 1. The next two mathes he wouldn't get near me and he destroyed me every time. At a distance he would just jump and tiger shot, if I jumped in he'd uppercut, etc.. Because he's Sagat and I'm Akuma, he would only need to land a handful of hits. Even if we hit each other, I take WAAYYY more damage than him. All he has to do is stand back and do any random attack when I get close. A few lucky hits later the match is over. I seriously cannot beat people like that. Ryus are bad about that, but I learned how to deal with them. Sagat and Akuma will beat me every time, regardless of their skill.
Hmm. If they want to play keepaway, just jump over their attacks, occasionally block them, Focus Attack them a couple times to gain some Ultra... it works well. Patience is really hard in SFIV: V.
That's what I've been saying. He's so overpowered that any noob with half a brain can be awesome with him in no time. It's like matching a good fighter against some random guy with a bat. The guy with the bat doesn't need any real skill, he just needs to know how to make the bat connect. Given Sagat's range and strength, a bat is a good comparison, IMO.
Akuma can just out-fireball sagat if youre clever about it. Akuma-Sagat is like 5-5 or 5.5-4.5 to sagat...

I finally played NYC Chinatown. Tell me he's not a rage quitter please. I can't stand losing to people like that. Anyway, he's a great player. I only took him to 3 rounds twice but really thought I could have won either of those 2. I only saved 1 and am pissed. That was so frustrating to not pull out a win but I have to give him credit. Oh definitely. Akuma is a fireball spammer's nightmare. If they don't spam, but just keep away, I don't know how to handle that. Their fireballs will almost never hit. The problem is mine don't either. If I try to actually attack, I can hit him like three times, but if he can connect once he's probably coming out on top. Then he runs away again. Other Akumas are bad about it too. They are the absolute worst about running away. I swear, I can fight an Akuma with a 20% win percentage and lose. All he has to do keep running away. I have an easier time with people who have like 4000bp, but have the balls to fight.

I just uploaded a fight with a 1500 BP ryu. It was the most retarded fight ever. It literally took 5 minutes to fight with all the lag. The whole fight was in sloooooow motion. I literally laughed through the whole match.
I cant really comment on the akuma mirror as my akuma experience is really limited. If a sagat/akuma/ryu is running away (im guessing you mean just jumping back) then walk them to the corner. I never get why people jump back like 5 times in a row, theyre doing the work for you. And with the whole they spam fireballs then I jump and they uppercut-maybe youre being too predictable with your jumps. Just walk to where youre in range to jump in and block/throw out a sweep/dash-throw, whatever. And if you have akuma in the corner, stand at a r ange where you can punish if they try to teleport out. If they try to jump out then uppercut, just keeping them in the corner can lead to them taking risks to get out-free damage.
Yes Patience is the word~ and here something funny~ I had fight alot of Akuma spammer who stay back and do fireball for the whole 99seconds.... and I decided to focus gain ultra meter on his normal fireball and jump neutral for red fireball, then after a period of time, they cannot take it and will do demon flip slide kick(90%) and I hit them with ultra. and continue to jump avoid fireball till time run out haha

You said best out of 5? My mistake... Guess what! I just owned the second highest ranked player 'Anakin' over 5000 BP Unfortunately he disconnected after I received the win so I couldn't save the replay but I did manage to take a snapshot lol
