Yeah that was a very lame victory. I don't win many Vipers that's why I remember this one very clearly.
If he read my teleport better and got in with flame kick (like how YYOJJO does to me - btw his Viper is god-like!!) I would have had no chance...

Rage quit eh? BP effect! read Jibba's post on page 922! haha

    Why 'specially the first one'?

There's a replay uploaded by Police. Pretty sure you won't see another match between us, because I don't play with known quitters anymore (I accepted the last one because I didn't know if he was the real one).

About the other guy... I'm not sure if he's the infamous NYC-*Something* that quitted a lot of times with my team mates and called 'cheater' to another one. So if this player is the same, I won't play with him.

Just as a fact, I've already played with TenOnez. Got beaten 6-3 if my memory is good. This guy has a nice defense and he knows how to use the turn punch.

because u guys are all top Guile players. It's like GSP vs Anderson Silva in UFC, haha. TenOnez is a solid player, almost never drop combo. I got beaten like 10-1.

Ah... I've almost reached 2000 BP. This is a first (for me). 40 more to go!
I've been trying out Bison as a secondary, and I gotta say, his Jumping Medium Punch Target Combo Thingy is awesome. I just love following up with a Nightmare Booster.

Bison is my secondary too, for that target combo, if the other side didn't jump, it can be easily punished when landing.

    The low tier.
I would like to thank squall2002 for routinely kicking my ass, because without his beatdowns, I would have never learned the immense value of forward+kick as an anti-air device. I would also like to thank Mago, for teaching me that Sagat trading on both tiger uppercut and forward+kick is a good thing, because you can link into forward+kick and then ultra, without meter.

    I thank you both.

It's been that way since SF2 with two players throwing out Dragon Punches at the same time. I think usually the player who throws out the move later is the one who will get the hit because the active frames of the move rising will catch the first player at the apex of the move when the other player's move's active frames have expired. But sometimes both players recover and the situation resets. Not sure how it is with Saggy here but I imagine it's the same.

GGs tenonez, im glad there arent more balrogs around hes awesome. No balrogs even come close to you, wow. Sorry for being so scrubby with those uppercuts, need to break that habit. Im used to being the one on offense not defense :D

In my experience, I found that good players knew how to block Dhalsims teleports with consistency. Even better players were able to counter/punish Dhalsims teleports when they weren't done just right. And the hardest opponents knew how to tell the difference between when they should attempt a counter/punish and when to just block. Against my style, once an opponent learned to simply block properly, the match became very difficult for my Dhalsim to do damage.

As for the jump kick -> low kick -> flame, I'll get there eventually I hope. I can do it against weak players more often than not but pulling it off against good competition is so much tougher. I will say that it definitely feels more fun to pull that off than the simply jump punch -> stand/crouch punch.

But stupid question, what exactly is a true block string? Does that essentially mean that once it's started, it can't be countered even if blocked? I assume that's what I experience way too often when I try to counter moves but am still stuck in a sort of block daze.

I actually kind of think the opposite. The teleport was the essence of his game. It wasn't all that difficult to deal with once people knew how. I can understand the smaller damage output but changing his entire essence was the wrong decision. And as Ken Ken mentioned, changing the hit box on his punches hurts a lot too. I get hit (not trade) during my jump punches all the time now. People can just spam SRK and do much better than in the past. It's obviously pretty easy to deal with, but if done infrequently enough, it actually becomes a decent strategy.

GGs Snooper! Thanks for compliment. You weren't scrubby with the uppercuts at all because hey, it broke my offense and made me back off so you could set up a mixup with Cammy.

I really need to work on my Matchups against Yun. That almost made me toss my iPod out the window. I can definitely see his buffs in the update now. You have the best Yun that I have ever fought in this game.

But his teleport was so hard for most characters to punish, its just so good in volt because you cant option select. If you watch top dhalsims (yhcmochi, arturo sanchez, fillipino champ) they hardly ever teleport to escape pressure cos its so punishable. Almost everyone plays dhalsim like a runaway character in volt because if you get puhed to the corner its so much easier to get out. On consoles he zones more, in volt he runs .

Anyway heres the link to that thing

And are you up for some games?

    That's my understanding of it.
It's funny, a set of moves that register as a combo when hit (e.g. a jumping early light/medium attack into a set of ground moves) doesn't always allow for a true block string.
