The thing is though, thats a disadvantage that charge characters have in the console version. So during a block string, a shoto could mash down forward-down and a punch button so that a reversal uppercut would come out if there was a gap. charge characters cant do that cos theyd lose their charge, so you have to time it. and is adons u2 the uppercut fadc one where he says rest in peace? gotta say, adons tied with cody for most annoying voice.
Yea, thanks for the matches. I wanted to play with my abel, but i think you would prefer zangief. I think im getting bored with zangief though... Abel's matches are a bit more fun, but I wish I didnt suck so much with him

Nullroar>-40f>ivwshane>every other blanka. -40f and ivwshane are really good too, but you play really safe and just punish ANYTHING, while still doing annoying blanka stuff. ivwshane and -40f are really close in terms of skill, but youre way ahead of them. i havent played either of them in a few weeks though, so they mightve really improved Btw after those first two games, i realised that playing patient wasnt working, you were out-playing me, so i went really aggressive (and won ). What type of cammy do you have the most trouble with? That is, assuming youve found any good cammys. Ive only played scrubby ones.
Hey man, You absolutely rocked me that round Your Cammy is definitely one of the better ones out there. The real way that Cammy's usually end up rocking me is only partially the crossups...cammy's real damage in this match comes from baiting Blanka balls and punishing. She can punish the horizontal, the air and the rainbow. It takes some practice - that extra half second where I remain suspended in the air after an air ball has saved me from many an ultra going under. On almost any jump in where I have charge, I love to go for ex vertical ball, so a safe jump + block will usually net you a free punish opportunity against me. Same goes with wakeup - since cammy's DP has such ridiculous priority, ex ball is pretty much my go-to on wakeup, as it beats grab and DP. Simply walk forward all intimidatingly and then block. You'll be punishing me all day Remember- while cammy has no good approaches (except safe spiral from safe range for chip), I don't have anything safe to get to you either. I have no safe chip (other than elec from a jump in, and jump ins against cammy are dangerous). As cammy, you should be looking to get a quick health lead and then make me come to you. It gets annoying for folks when I sit at max range charging my super, but the best strat is to anticipate (I only have one duration on my elec) and punish the recovery, which you did against me in one of the games. You can respond by building your own meter at max range with something safe, like jump + cannon strike barely off the ground...quick recovery and hard to punish. Not much meter, but it basically allows you to play the waiting game with me and still get something out of it. More games when you can.
I think it changes a bit though when moves are reduced to 1 button. You can't effectively "mash" a more complicated command like an uppercut or ultra the way you can in this game. So what we come up with is, say, a lag spike that can completely throw a charge char off - he doesn't know whether his input was already accepted or not, whether he has enough "charge" (because the spike may have thrown everything off), whether he still has time to re-input it or whether he should block, etc, whereas the same lag spike has no effect whatsoever on someone mashing forward + SP because. It's the difference between inputting a combo to finish at the exact moment a lag spike etc. ends, and the difference between hitting one button intensely until the same spike ends. In one scenario, you could be counter hit, reversal-ed, grabbed, etc. In the other, you are 100% guaranteed to get your move. I mean, I totally see the necessity of something like the SP button, and ever since resetting my stats etc. I've been using it (although as Blanka I'm not sure why ), but it's much more forgiving than, say, actually having to accompany your button mashing with a synchronized directional input. [But if they introduce Adon I will 100% be using SP ]

wow, just had 4 games with cyrus814, ended up at 2-2. Every single game came down to the final round where the winner had less than a third of their life. That was so intense. ive gotta go, but we need to play again man, youre so good.
I've never had any of the console versions of SFIV but these sound like really good ideas. I just worry that it's not worth the time investment for Capcom. I really hope it is though. Maybe they do like they did in Volt and come out with a whole new game with a bunch of upgrades. I'd pay for a new game again, although I don't think I'd like to go through getting all the titles, icons, etc. again (I've already done that once and it's very time-consuming). I disagree on the game being really balanced but still think they did a good job with it. I just think that some of the matchups are too one-sided and think it would be a better experience if the game weren't as dependent on matchups.
I have all sorts of issues with charge character mechanics. I just don't think they work as well as I remember them on the arcades.
Been playing a lot of Zangief lately, he's a lot of fun! At least when I'm not chasing down sagat. Even going against Akuma is fun because one super is like 70% of Akuma health. But forget the throws, his normals are amazing and way underused by most gief players.
If they add in Dan and all of the ultra 2's, I would be happy. .... ....I just love costs second ultra because of the startup quote (You're making me Sleepy!... ....) and Zangief's Ultra 2.... enough said. Although I don't think Much will be added soon. the file size on this game is quite large, lol.
Didn't Zangief have something like a Double Lariat, FADC, Dash Forward, Siberian Blizzard? I don't know if it's true or not. :/
I remember seeing a video of that, but it was fake. Im pretty sure u2 doesnt work if theyre in a juggle state. Its basically a really damaging air throw with huge priority and hitbox.
GGs droqqa man i hate the zangief match. im more confident with it than before, but i still feel like its 7-3. My cammys getting pretty sloppy nowdays, i think im relying too heavily on safe spiral arrow-uppercut fadc. still ggs. still trying to find another character to play, but i dont like the feel of anyone apart from sagat, and everybody uses sagat....
ggs snooper - you may hate it, but playing zangief against cammy is fun - breaking that bitch in two with the atomic buster my hands are tired, I've been playing all day
