    lol thanks for playing.

Sakura is a joke no matter whose playing her :(

I used to main Sakura and she could be so fun to play, but this version of her is so weak it just makes me sad.

I just got matched up with him, his Balrog is nasty.

He won the first match I won the second. I had to really bait out his moves to get any success but he is really good at mixing up his dash punches so it proved to be really difficult.

I don't know about you, but I can never react to balrog's sweeps and overheads. My reactions blow, I just have to guess.

Would it be asking too much if we need 14 more people to join the next Double-Elimination tournament?

First of all, thanks for all the love from everyone in TAF and the Volt community. I started playing Volt because it was on sale for $0.99, and I don't have a console. Volt is the only alternative available to me. I love fighting games and the SF4 series. In fact, I even bought AE on PS3 when it first came out, and I still don't have a console lol! I play AE in the local arcade once in awhile too.

I have a habit of playing the least popular characters in fighting games. Kensou and Chin in KOF02, Anakaris in Vampire Savior (only play it for fun). I main Sim since Vanilla and I only play Sim because I want to study one character inside out. I also believe match-ups play a very important part in succeeding in fighting games. However, I am having difficulties picking a second character and that's very common to all Sim players.

I think Sim is definitely on tier A in Volt because his teleport is easy to maneuver (SP button), and there are only a few ways you can punish his teleport consistently unlike AE...

I am not THAT good. I just play Volt with Sim a lot. You all should see my AE Sim. It sucks monkey butts!

BTW I am changing my Game Centre game tag to Ken | Ken
I add back the space because it looks nicer that way.

Does anyone know how to change TAF username?

I would like to learn more about it! My AE tournament match record is 2:11 haha. I should do better in Volt

Another reason why sim is so good is because there are no option selects. Lots of characters can do an os on sims wakeup thats safe if blocked and punishes teleports in ae.

BTW I aslo uploaded a replay between us. It was a double KO first round then I won second. We need to play more often, send me an invite whenever youre on. Im online now if you are...

And which matchups do you find to be the hardest. I posted a matchup chart a few pages back so maybe that could help you pick a secondary? Honda seems to do pretty well against cammy and viper though, which are appatently sims hardest matches.

And if youre intetested in joining the tournament, find fffan777s last post, the link to the tournament thread and sign up are in his signature.

I'll play you some other time! I got work to do :p

Viper is the hardest match-up for Sim IMO! I never seem to beat a decent Viper! I can't handle her mixup high low game!
I am confident against Cammy though :)

Just wondering, but how does Yun have the advantage against Sim? I've been trying out some new Yun things, so it would help.

Im playing yun too. Hes a bit of a surprise for the people ive being playing online, nobody knows how to deal with him. And its not quite as bad as ae but yun can stay in sims face the whooole time if you know what youre doing. And then theres the hig/low/throw mixup with huge damage payoffs.

Yea its not as bad as ae for sim but still. They said that daigo has never lost a single round to ANY dhalsim except filipino champ. Maybe he has by now though.

My anti-Yun strategy as Gief is pretty advanced, I've broken it down into various sections in the hopes of eventually writing a master's thesis on it.

To distill the wisdom into it's most essential bits, you gets something like this:

At the start of the round, Lariat.

Continue the lariat until you win (which will take place sometime after the lariat-ing begins).

You may throw in a grab or two here or there if you get bored, but Lariat is so nasty against Yun.
