Ryu's lowforward-fireball is punishable between the first and second hits if he's hitting you with the tip of his foot -- distance matters, since fireball needs to travel a longer distances, giving you the frames to counter.

And yea, I went into training mode to try and figure out Guile's double sweep. Unpunishable. I was even trying to focus the first kick and backdash/invincible the second, but it still connects if it's within range.

In addition, focusing a fireball will allow the opponent to build their super-bars as if they had fully connected.
Ryu and Deejay's bars are particularly nasty, with Ryu having that great Super and SRK-FADC and Deejay's EX-doublekick.

When somebody does that sonic boom/double sweep thing, I can usually nail him with an uppercut before it connects. You have to start it at the about the same time as him, though. Basically, you need to know he's going to do it. I can only get it to work if he's following up after a sonic boom, because that's such a predictable combo that most Guiles seem to overuse.

I don't match up with a lot of Guiles and the ones I do hardly use it. I think this lesson has been engraved into my memory because I practically ate every single one of those double sweeps .

Haha I think it might be more me getting lucky than you getting outplayed.

Good fights SoulBlade. You pulled out a couple nice devastating combos with Fei...didnt see that coming, haha. Nice tense fight against your Ryu too, good show man.

    The low tier.
I have a lot of fun playing Fei, but man, his combos can be so easy to screw up. Chicken wings that don't hit quite right are the bane of my existence. They can hit all 3 times, but yet you can still be out of range for the follow up standing punch into rekkas/flame kick. And if that standing punch or flame kick whiffs, get ready to eat a huge combo. The EX chicken wing can hit the first two times, but whiff the 3rd? Oh sure.

    Lol. Thanks.
Pretty epic how the last punch of that fadc ultra just did exactly enough damage to ko you.

You seemed to get a little frusterated when I was playing as deejay.

Sorry Nullroar, had to go. But why the keepaway akuma? I can understand that on ranked or a tournament match but why would I want to play with someone doing that in a friendly?

Wait, do you object to certain play style when it comes to friendly matches?
This is an honest question. And why is it different vs a ranked or tournament?

Sorry - it's simply how I always play Akuma. [Ask Shoryu]

Some say his low health makes him best as an in-your face char, but since there was a little jerky lag between us, I really don't feel comfortable playing that kind of offense.

Much better to mess around with running and transition into his standing double every now and then for a safe 180 in pace that keeps people on their toes when they anticipate more running.

My full offensive Akuma wouldn't even have been a challenge for you. I'm bad with him as an in-your-face guy. Coward at heart, I guess.
