A few days and about 8 billion exclamation marks (!) later, the contests and giveaways are over. Thanks to all who participated. I actually had fun running the thing – hope everybody else had some fun too. To those who got codes, congratulations, and enjoy the game!

The future of Storm Attack is up in the air at this point… but if we throw out an update (I want to), I’ll be back with some more free codes.

Welcome! This is Mike, head game dev of Storm Attack. I wanna make this contest as fun as possible for everybody, so if you have a suggestion… lemme hear it! I’m open to all ideas!

OKAY! Here’s how it’s gonna work. This event should last about 5-7 days. There are 2 ways to get codes – through the free giveaways, or through the contests:

Giveaways
Every night at 8PM CST (6pm Pacific, 7pm Mountain, 9pm Eastern) I will post 1 promo code. That one’s just first-come first-serve. If you get it, please let others know. The code will be posted at the top of this message in bold, as well as in a reply to the most recent message. I will also post the name of the winner of that day’s contest portion (see below).

Contests
At the same time, I will post the contest goal for the next day. Each contest will run for 24 hours. So, for example, the first contest will run from 8pm CST on 10/8 to 8PM CST on 10/9. The contest will change each day – one day you might need to write a haiku about storms, the other day you might have to meet a goal in the free Lite version. I will post the day’s contest in bold letters at the top of this message, and in a reply to the latest message. Contest winners will receive a PM from me with a promo code, as well as a shout-out in the thread.

Again, I’m open to ideas. If changing the contest every day gets to be too hectic/confusing, I’m game for picking one event and sticking with it.

Additionally, if you get a code, an honest rating or review in the App Store would be fantastic, but is by no means required.

10/9-10/10 Contest
Gonna change it up. This time, you need to write a haiku about Storm Attack, or storms in general. A haiku is a 3-line poem with a 5-7-5 syllable format. Here’s an example:

I am blasting blocks
Oh no, here comes a big storm
Ouch! It's Game Over
(Sorry, I didn’t do too well in poetry school.)

Wittiest haiku wins! Haikus must be submitted by 7:45PM CST on 10/10. The winner will be announced 15 minutes later at 8:00PM. A new, free code will also go up at that time.
