I was able to get the translation patch working, but there's an issue with the text occasionally being cut off. Like there's not enough lines for the english version of the dialogue. Kind of annoying.
Alright, I must have been doing something wrong then. Did you drop all the files into the same folder? And yeah, I remember there was an issue with some words at the end of a line being cut off and continued on the the next line. That's a minor inconvenience though as all the rest is working in principle. Did you buy the app or are you using the lite version?
I bought the app. It was one of my favorite VNs/animes and having a portable version is great. You have to overwrite/replace all the files in the steins;gate.app folder and then copy game-database.plist into the documents folder in order to make sure the tips are translated. The issue is not so much with text wrapping, but it seems like some words are completely missing (or it just displays the first letter and then cuts off and isn't even on the next line of dialogue). I have the PC version of the game, too, and the official translation is a lot better, obviously. Some of the dialogue seems a bit awkward on this fan translation. Thanks for the feedback. Guess I will wait for the official release, even though it may take a while. I played the lite version with the english patch and I was ok with it. I just couldn't be bothered to pay 30 bucks. But 10 bucks is not so much...
Yeah I just haven't heard a single thing about it. I even asked 5pb and didn't get a response. I guess I'll just sit tight and hope for the best
Oh gosh this thread bump got me excited! :S I'm not going to hold my breath. I was completely disappointed Muv-luv decided to make an Android port and not bother with iOS. I wonder why that is. Do VNs do better on the Google play store or something?
