IMO Gameloft isn't the right company to get things like game balance right, I am not sure if they even spend money on game testing after playing Eternal Legacy(one of the worst gameplay experience ever for me)... Sure they are fully capable of bringing great graphics and similar gameplay style and even with very good touch controls; but what made Starcraft truly amazing is just how well balanced the 3 sides are. Without months and months of fine tuning and game balance testing, and continue support for balance updates I am afraid a RTS can only go so far. Who am I kidding though, their target audience probably don't really care if it plays right or not. I mean, most people (iPhone, iPad users) probably don't care if the game had some overpowered units and useless units. My 2 cents.
Bumping this, the last game in the current GL lineup I'm looking forward to (GT Motor Academy 2???). Balance is going to be a huge issue, especially with MP. We'll see. Gameloft has a history of sucking at updates/support, so we'll see.
Not at all. There's a way to counter the opponent with any race. What is OP though is the blue faction in Red Conquest xP.
I hope someone from Gameloft can confirm if this is IPad only Or not. I don't have an IPad and I don't want to be excited over something I can't play.
GameLoft just sucks in general, Look at all their crappy games. All ripoff games, as for the graphic part, as long as game play is good, the game is good. However, GameLoft sucks at both graphics and gameplay If you haven't noticed other game developers actually spend quite a long time to make a game. The fact just ONE game. Games like Infinity Blade, Dungeon Defenders (Really fun, and saves can be used on PC version too lol), Real Racing 2, Gamevil games, Inotia, Aralon, etc. GameLoft just wants money lol, by making crappy clone games. lol, you couldn't be more wrong. Gameloft recent games are some the best games available. Gameplay is great, especially in games like Shadow Guardian and NOVA 2. The graphics suck? Yeah I see what you mean Gameloft's typical development time is between 10 and 12 months. That's far longer than the average development time for iOS games. No they are not facts. They are just worthless opinions from a troll.
Alright, look here DrNub, I know you're new and all but, are you by any chance, BLIND! They have perhaps the greatest graphics. And NO, there gameplay does not suck. In my opinion, the gameplay is the best part. But, you know what does suck, YOU! And by the way, those are not facts, those are just opinions from an IDIOT!
well... I can see where people are coming from when they complain about the graphics of gameloft games. The quality is pretty awesome in some games but this quality varies largely from game to game. Lazy texturing is prevalent in even the best of these games too.
If Gamevil recycled their Java phone- worthy graphics folks will say that its their signature artstyle, if Gameloft rehash the same graphic engine even if it's clearly an improvement over the last then they are lazy. Seems to me that there is a double standard here. Geez.
My god, You clearly don't know you'd stuff here so I'll do my best to correct this. Bad graphics? No way, they're latest games have had some brilliant graphics, and if you haven't noticed, it's a phone. Gameloft makes so many games because they are such a big company, they have alot of development teams working on different games. Yes gameloft rip off popular ideas but can you blame them? Most big developers wont even touch the iPhone so until then gameloft fills that hole pretty well with the closest to console quality games on the platform
I know I'm late, but thanks for the video. Hopefully, the interface isn't going to be too crammed on the iPhone/iPod Touch.
If GL can nail the gameplay, I wouldn't mind paying some extra money if they keep the game updated/balanced. Can we expect multiplayer for this?
