Gameloft does update some games. They did a surprise update for Real Golf, to try and fix the putting controls. They updated GT:Motor Academy, twice. Once to increase draw distance and a second to add Retina. They added a few new cars too. GT:MA is over a GB in size due to that Retina update, and I had to delete it for space. They updated several games for Retina, like NOVA 1 and BIA 2, and Ganstar West Coast Hustle. But not all games recieved Retina. Dungeon Hunter 1 never did. GL games are already bloatware to begin with. Retina updates make their large game files even larger. Be careful what you wish for. Remember, you cannot delete these games for space-related purposes without losing your game saves, unless you are jailbroken. Most of GL's games, I had to delete, except for the winter release titles. A lot of the other stuff is long gone, mostly because their Retina games are so ridiculously bloated in size. They look great, but there is a price to be paid for that graphical greatness. Aralon is what, 300MB? If GL had made that game, it'd probably be over 1GB in size.
Nobody here works for Gameloft. Gameloft would never answer those questions officially anyway, so you're wasting your time by asking. Gameloft runs a tight ship when it comes to the dispersal of information. They are a very close-vested company. You're not gonna find a Gameloft informant on some gaming forum, unless his name is Deep Throat.
Haha I don't troll. But anyways, deep throat works for gameloft? Well in any case it wouldn't hurt to have some gameloft guys here, though you're right that they are not allowed to give out alot of info, if any at all.
Didn't mean you. I meant GRIP. It's a classic: new member, pretending to have inside knowledge (yet cannot provide a single bit of info that's not already available), then throwing a platform-wide insult to get folks riled up.
Reminds me of Gsmokey. He even made multiple accounts in an attempt to support his false information.
Ugh, there's only 1 more Wednesday this month after this week...so I guess it should't be that long either way. I'll be seriously disappointed if they missed their release date by a month and release it early Feb instead.
Still not out; still no release date information... this summary has been a public service from Undeadcow
next week please...... its not coming this week guys. Usually gameloft releases games on wednesday night USA so it will appear on thursday when App Store is updated.
Since the 20 or so apps they made. The NZ release would be Wednesday morning for the USA. For it to be featured on Apple, its too late now for this week. And USA is 11PM EST.
There are a few of us around, but everyone is pretty tied up with doing what they do on a daily basis - which means we don't get to visit [our favourite] forums as much as we'd like Just to clear up some points from within this thread... A) Yes Starfront: Collision will be released on both iPhone and iPad - we did our previews (which you may have seen in December) on the iPhone version, but the iPad version does definitely exist. Whether the iPhone & iPad version will make a simultaneous release is still TBA, but we'll try and keep you as up-to-date as best possible (best place to check is our social media channels). B) As much as it pains me to say, a January release for Starfront: Collision is looking unlikely - we're now preparing for a February release - the positive you can take from this is you're going to get a much richer experience because of it C) (and slightly off-topic) We do update our games post-release, an example being we recently added some new content and fixed some bugs in Real Football 2011 (Real Soccer for the Americans) & added some new content. We also recently announced there would be a Modern Combat 2 patch to fix some hacking issues & more, though exact details are TBA. Hope this helps! I'll try and check back here as often as possible (Touch Arcade forum as a whole) but it can be difficult with our schedules, I hope you understand
