But you aren't the only ones trying to fly the coop! Other countries are trying to break their men out, and the more prisoners that make it, the tighter security becomes. Sacrificing stealth for speed isn't always the answer though; if you leave items behind, you'll run into trouble down the line. It's a fast paced game of strategy as you follow the escape plans, break your allies out, dodge the guards, and get everyone to safety in Stalag 17. You have a well made tutorial, three AI level, a real good made in game rule book. You can adjust game soud and music seperate, the UI is clear and simple. To the AI ... hm ... I am new in this I did not knew it before, so I had to learn it from the tutorial and the rulebook ... from what I can see now I would say, the AI is well done. Mythbuster Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2008 1,260 22 38 Journalist In the middle of nowhere #10 Mythbuster, Aug 21, 2014 Hi Mack, well, I am 46 and I spend around 150,- Euro every month for iOS gaming ... it does not hurt me and you should know that this is my point of view ... I do not smoke, almost no drinking and I have the same wife for almost 20 years. So this is a hobby and I do not care about the money ... I have purchased around 500 games within the last few years ... there are some all time highlights and some crap ... This is not like Carcassonne or like Catan ... but it is miles ahead from Manhattan! I spent 1,5 hours and yes, it will stay on my iPad ... the AI is good and the game itself makes a lot of fun. So for me it is well worth 5,99 Euro ... if it is also worth for you ... well ... how should I know. OK, let me think ... hm ... at Star Realms I think also it is absolute worth the money and you are not ... nevertheless ... SR gets real good reviews ... This are my points: - AI is good and three level! - Very good tutorial and rule book! - UI is simple and clean. - Sound and music have seperate adjust sliders. Music fits to the game. - The graphic are nice. - No crashes or bugs so far. The board game itself makes fun. It is not ad deep as Carcassonne but nevertheless it has depth. Mythbuster Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2008 1,260 22 38 Journalist In the middle of nowhere #17 Mythbuster, Aug 21, 2014 I would say 75% strategy and 25% luck ... because you have to draw new cards. But: A small amount of luck you have also in games like Carcassonne or Catan. And: Carcassonne and Catan are my all time high board games ... so it is very hard to compare any board game with that both. I would rate it as good / high like San Juan, Surburbia or Qin. From it's gameplay it is hard to compare to other games ... it is an original. Dragan Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 365 7 18 Belgium #18 Dragan, Aug 21, 2014 Thanks, that is what i needed to know, if the game turns out to be disappointing i will contact you for a refund LordGek Well-Known Member Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Feb 19, 2009 12,282 141 63 Software QA Engineer Saratoga, CA, USA #19 LordGek, Aug 22, 2014 Game Impressions I just finished the tutorial and I'm impressed so far. Very slick interface, and while very original, pretty easily graspable gameplay. Each round an escape plan will be rolled which will be a combination of needed objects and "Escape" points. Each turn players take turns drawing cards and then secretly putting down cards from their hand needed to meet the escape requirements. Besides simply trying to play the cards you'll need to escape, you need to be mindful of the penalty you'd face with the cards currently in your hand. Once you or your opponents make an escape everyone will need to face a dreaded roll call where each player is penalized based on the cards they currently have in hand, so you need to be ever mindful of how close your opponents are to making a break so that the resulting roll call doesn't catch you off guard (i.e you don't have a bunch of penalty points in your hand. The resulting penalty is your Surveillance rating which you'll need to overcome to make your next escape (so now your combined played Escape points must be higher than the total of both the current plan AND the Surveillance penalty). To minimize this penalty you'll need to either play the cards or, under certain conditions, you can dump a set of cards. The only danger in discarding, is that while it will let you get rid of a lot of crap all at once, other players can take the top card of the discard pile.
