Okay thanks! One question! Does the screen in FFV autorotate? Need to know this before I buy, because if it doesnt I can't buy it. Thanks!
I think I only ever played the first two or three back on whatever console they originally came out on. Grabbed the first one last night because I could download it at work. Will get two and three this holiday season, maybe some more depending on my budget. I wish they had the Gameboy titles in this series that I played way back in the 90's too, especially Final Fantasy Legends, which was an action based game (ie. hit button to strike sword or use grapple hook, etc.). That was my favourite of them all.
FYI, in North America, FF IV was originally called FF II, and FF VI was originally called FF III. There's a good chance you never played the actual FF II, FF III, or FF V unless you were playing imports or played later collection releases.
Look at the bottom of the app description and read if it is optimized for iPhone 5. If of just says compatible with iPhone then it will have black bars. Compatible with iPhone 5 then it'll have widescreen support. I'm pretty sure they all have bars though. :-/
Well compatible may simply mean that the black bars are "responsive." Just trying to figure out whether they're actually there especially for the Chaos Rings. If not, I'm definitely picking up the lot.
All 3 chaos rings have black bars. Not responsive. Meaning not optimized. They are the absolute BEST JRPGs (IMO) on the AppStore. Would be a shame to miss out on them for half inch bars in each side. Especially at that price. I paid just under $60 for all 3 and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. This is a tough one to answer. I'd say if you had to JUST get one then get Chaos Rings 2 for sure. It's the most realized one. However, the original, while not as graphically impressive has just as strong of a story. Hell, I can say the same for Omega. So get CR1 or 2. If you like 1 then I'd definitely recommend omega because it continues the story in a really awesome way. 2 is a completely seperate story though and the best "bang for your buck".
hello... i love games like FF7/8/9 and what not, was never really a fan of tactics... i really like job systems and FF with depth... i tried 1/2 and chaos but i really didn't like them... which of the other ones are the best and WHY?
How difficult is FFT:WotL? I played and loved FFT:Advance way back in time and was about to drag the old GameboyAdvance SP (dont laugh!) out and play it again. How difficult is WotL in comparison? I remember keeping a notebook when I played FFT:Advance to keep track of my team, I like complex games. My other question about WofL is how WELL does it play on an iPhone? Is it difficult to manuver, picking out the tiles for moves, etc.? I have read through most of the 80+ page WofL thread here but no definitive conclusions. I like gaming on my phone so I can take it with me. I don't play much on my ipad Off topic: any other suggestions for a tactical rpg? I don't like games set in space or mech/robot types either. I have Great Little/Big War Games, I don't want another war game. Looking for something with a story, however weak it may be. I've been googling this topic like mad, Rebirth of Fortune 1/2 were mentioned...any good? Any others?
