Still Going Hi, Sean here -- Yep, we're still hard at work and nearing the first official Beta for iOS. I'm sure Kris will hit people up here when the Beta is ready to roll. Seriously, nothing beats the feedback of a really great beta tester. BTW, Kickstarter was a good experience despite not landing the funds, as we received a TON of suggestions and encouragement. The main casualty of not reaching the funding goal is that Droid will have to wait. But the iOS version was never in doubt, regardless of Kickstarter, and if the game does reasonably well, we'll be able to afford to release an Android version in the end anyway. I'm sure Kris will post some new visuals to the thread (there are a couple more quick and rough videos on the site), but here's the state of things in our little spy world: I'm killing bugs and finishing the remaining levels, and Kristopher is polishing the visuals. We're at that 85% (or so) mark which is always the toughest part, as the software cliche goes, but we are feature-locked and close to the tuning stage. We also don't want to rush this last bit of level design; as a gamer, I hate it when an otherwise great-looking game leaves me feeling like someone flat ran out of time and had to hack some levels together at the end to ship. I don't want to be that guy. So yes: we're still 2 indie guys trying not to starve while attempting to create a really fun spy game with stealth, jetpacks, exploding laptop cases, sharks with lasers on their heads, and arch-villain hideouts sporting totally ludicrous architectures. psn
Thanks! I suggest posting about this game in Neogaf's forum thread. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=434562 Also hit up other gaming sites with previews the moment you have something good to show, like TheGameTrail, PocketGamer, IGN Wireless, Touchgen, SlideToPlay, etc. Don't forget to give review copies to them and Appspy, Appvee as well. Between that and this thread, you'll be able to get your name out there so we know ahead of time to look out for your game. Better than waiting until release week to try and drum up support and become noticed (you never know if you're releasing in an avalanche week like today).
Looking for Beta Testers! Hey everyone, We're just finishing the last levels for the game, and we'd like to show you some of the different looks, and also let people know that we're ready to start taking names for beta testing! If you are interested, please send an email to [email protected] along with your device UDID. We still have a few bugs to work out before we will be sending out builds, but we'd like to give people time to respond and send in their info so we can get everything ready. Thanks!
Yup game does look great... and from the devs of revolt? VERY cool! wish I could apply for beta testing, but I can't sync my iPod to my PC since updating to 4.2 (yeah it's been a while...)... Oh well... From the vid, this is gonna be an instant purchase from me! =oD Best of luck with the beta testing!!
