The only thing Game Center provides is when you Invite someone: You can change the message "Want to play game xyz?" to whatever you want.
Pretty lame really, so developers have to make their own in-game comms.

    Rare

Is there anyway when looking at a card to tell if it Rare, Uncommon, or Common?

Made my first IAP today worked well and had a great time optimizing my deck with the new booster cards.

    Hello Zenfar,

If you zoom in on a card, you can see a coloured border:

    Bronze - common
    Silver - uncommon
    Gold - rare

Another way is to to check the individual sell/buy gold price of a card. All rares share the same gold price, all uncommons share same gold price, all commons same.

    Thanks for your support.

    Go for the Gold

Great will look for the gold borders:cool: I really like the idea of five attack lanes for creatures and boosts, a great idea.

I quit after the 3rd time, and I have a lot of other options I could reinstall.

I found this , from *yet another* App maker that have been suffering with similar problems and quite of lot of good advice here for iCloud apps in general.

    http://support.iawriter.com/help/kb/general-questions/icloud-wont-work-whats-wrong

The one about automatic clock setting was a new one for me.

Yes, we think it makes cards that would otherwise, in other games, get played on one creature , much more useful. If the creature then dies, at least the aura lives.
It also opens up a lot of tactics regarding movement into and out of the influence of such cards. And it maintains pressure on certain lanes of attack.

Lol the messaging thing is awful isn't it. As Steve said you can send an invite and change the text, then cancel the invite. Best we got at the moment.

Close match? I don't know what you mean ;)

UncleGee, little tip, think hard about which of my cards you use your Lost cards on, you helped me out a few times by banishing some of my cards.

One example was my Darkling assassin facing your 4/3 card. Darkling had done its 2 damage strike, and if you had just attacked then he'd be dead. But you used lost so he got the chance to come straight back and use his fast strike to kill your higher powered creature.

Also, I notice new players tend to pick a deck and stick to it. That will give an opponent time to think 'okay, he likes 5 cost cards, I'll quickly change to my deck full of vortexes'. If you turn up after a couple of decks with a surprise deck it gives me less chance to outwit you.

I didn't understand that, you mean you quit trying or you used the spamming the home button to quit?

You've not said, have you made contact with [email protected]?

SPELLCRAFT TOURNAMENT MONDAY 21st JANUARY 7pm GMT

Looking forward to seeing you all this evening. I'd suggest we all just wait in the lobby for games rather than trying to use invites.

I've got a feeling that Vortexes are going to be card of the day, I can't imagine how many 5 costs cards everyone has lined up :0

Maybe we can have a prize for the person who goes up in rank the most for this.I can get mike to send a 1000 gold prize.Although I am not sure gamecentre updates the scores very fast.

    As so often, it depends:
The basic mechanics and gameplay are easy to understand and learn, especially if you have played a CCG before.
Beyond that, it's open season :)
If you browse through this thread, you will find quite some posts dealing with more advanced gameplay (e.g. deck setups, strategies, even specific cards or card combos and how to best use and counter them). That should give you a good impression of the more ...intricate... aspects.
Spellcraft is free, so best is to just give it a try. The AI goes easy on you in the beginning :)
If you feel confident enough, you can jump headlong into playing vs. humans.
What I found good practice was to come up with ways to get the more interesting achievements, e.g. "win a game without using any creatures".

I couldn't join in as I had the new version interfering with my saved decks. we will submit this new version to apple in a few days.It has the new cards.some improved AI, like overcasting and possibly chat if we can fit it in.

Seems cat and I were nearly the only ones in... If someone still wants a matchup, I'm in for an hour or so.

Yeah, I know I'm quoting myself...I leave auto time set off on my ipad so I don'y have to keep location on (to save battery). Changed that, and it took about 2 seconds. So now I can give this game a try...

So it was the clock after all that! Interesting.

Hi Bramblett, yeah it's easy to play and free so try it. You'll learn more every time you play.

Thanks for the games yesterday Uncle Gee, funny how we kept getting paired up in the phone while I was playing other people on the iPad. Did you play J Turner, I think maybe she is goblin related. We kept turning up with the same decks and getting caught in those loooong forest games where it ends when you run out of cards.

Course as you noticed it meant you caught me with my anti-j Turner deck every time which did no good against you. I REALLY can't wait until we can select our decks after we see who we are playing.

Good fun though, we should do it again x
