Sadly, that deal is not available in the US -- that would have been enough to get me to ditch my old PSP 1000. And yeah, fanboyism of every stripe is amusing. Personally I find the commercials more interesting for what they say about Sony marketing than for whatever insults they throw on the iPhone's direction.
I'm amazed that they think showing "Wastebasket" and then throwing in a couple obscure racing games would make me want a Go. Plus the kid doing the ad probably has an iPhone/iPod. Nice reference to FTB1 though. Guess "Wastebasket" is the only game that was bad enough for them to show. 'Sony, out of touch with tons of now estranged customers since they first tried to market the Go'
I'm honestly surprised Sony hasn't released a new handheld console. Maybe I'm just young, but the PSP seems archaic. I haven't even seen anyone use or know someones that does in the past few years, and it's use to be a pretty relevant pop icon. The console really needs a overhaul, and not just a more ergonomically friendly version. New hardware and new features, which in turn will attract more attention, attracting developers, and breathing in life to a nearly dead appendage that Sony's been dragging around. If not, well... we'll have Nintendo... and Nintendo. And a company without competition isn't necessarily a good thing. Jesus Christ, I'm ranting.
Lol... Most of apples ads are nothing but a hand, the iphone, and a white screen With a simple voice over! Just saying
I meant "cheap" as in they lacking taste. Apple's adverts look unpretentious/understated in a tasteful way, whereas Sony's ads just look plain cheap.
