Bought and downloaded it as soon as I saw it: Awesome version, plays great with the SteelSeries Nimbus controller.
Yes, I'd tried the Christian Whitehead version on iOS before, but playing it on my Apple TV is sublime. As a former Sega Genesis kid, it's amazing to me that I can pick up a great quality Sonic game and play it on a giant HDTV for $3. What a world! I, too, have the Nimbus, and it feels great with Sonic. I'll probably check out some of the other Sonic releases for Apple TV, and honestly, I really hope Sega puts out more remastered classics, because with this level of quality, I'd happily drop a few bucks a pop on them. It's just such a better experience than playing on an emulator on a laptop.
No doubt - I took a look at the App Store on Apple TV last night. Sonic CD had a big-brick feature spot at the top, and then I hopped over to the paid charts. Top paid apps last night: #1 Sonic CD, #2 Sonic 2, #3 Sonic. Wow. Sega's sitting on a gold mine of classic releases...
