Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 (Project Needlemouse)

I don't get it sonic games are so simple just run around in loops up and down and some platforming too. Mario games and sonic games are the best games out there both simple wats not to get from a sonic game wats not letting you like it almost every one likes sonic gamers or nongamers.

 

You could always pick the rings back up after you lose them(some of them), multiple times in fact.

You can last on one ring for a good time, unless you suck.

 

True Ipadboy u maybe just suck at sonic games....... BADLY.............REALLY BADLY!!!!!!!! hahaha

 

Still not even a hint at an iPad version?

 

Some of the levels look REALLY familiar. Is this a remake or a sequel?

 

Its Both. Remade Levels/New Levels.

 

Could this actually be good? We'll have to wait and see.

 

It'll be good only if they realize what made the originals good. The advance games and rush were boring because the entire game was "hold forward, jump a couple times, end level". It was a speed fest, which is fun sometimes, but takes out any challenge as a platformer. The first 3(4 if you consider sonic & knuckles separate from sonic 3) games had speed runs and some simple puzzles, and timed jumps, and mazes. You could get lost (Sandopolis), run out of air(take your pick), take the wrong path and get killed by lava(marble zone) but also find secrets and extra lives. That is what the recent 2D games lost. Hopefully this time they got the formula right.

edit: I forgot about Sonic CD, shame on me And yes, I was one of those idiots who got one. Still have my ecco the dolphin for it And also yes, I realize referencing marble zone from the first sonic game makes me old...

 

Why haven't they released sonic 3?

I wonder why they didn't release sonic 3? I mean since we have sonic 1,2 and 4 should't they fill in the gap?

They might sometime, but they had already been working on this for consoles for a while. They realized the buying power of the App Store and decided to include us in their new Sonic 4.

 

I think he was referring to Sonic 3 being available on the iPhone.

 

you can just replace the rom.bin or rom.file in sonic 2 by opening the IPA with 7zip and replace with Sonic 3, thats what many people did with Sonic 1 but with 2 before the official app came out. Plus, its 100% legal

 

I think he means in the App Store. Kinda weird seeing only 1, 2, and 4. Sonic 3 was one of the best in the series too.

 

I remember reading an article that it only worked with certain games. Sonic 3 wasn't one of them, but Ecco the Dolphin was.

Have they announced the price for the iPhone version?

 

I cant imagine anybody asking sega to put an other Sonic game in there emulator but if he does maybe sega had enough of mutulating there Sonic games
