Hi Karl - we are putting the finishing touches on the trailer video which we'll post up here as soon as it's ready. We are also working hard on the first update which we can confirm will have iOS7 game controller support thanks to our buddies at MOGA that have sent us some of their snazzy new controllers:
It is definitely the best iOS7 game controller I've used ...also the only one I've used If you are after an on-the-go controller this is a great option: it slides together when not in use to be very compact and having low-profile thumb pads means it can easily fit in your pocket. I've seen reviews that say the build quality is poor, but I think that's because when you don't have an iPhone/iPod locked in the sliding mechanism rattles a bit. However, once you've got the phone in it feels very solid. The ergonomics are good and the buttons responsive.* However, I prefer the MOGA PRO (currently only for Android devices). It feels more like a PS/XBOX controller and has bluetooth connectivity. For development/testing bluetooth definitely makes it easier. With the plugin controller (no bluetooth) I need to connect the phone to the dev machine, load a build on the phone, quit the app, disconnect from the computer, put the phone in the controller, and launch again - which is a bit of a pain! *- Note: we were provided with free controllers from MOGA, so take that into consideration!
Ooh nice to see it up! My favorite stage is 47. The sound from hitting those elves and that music are perfect! Aside from level 35, some other stages might need some rebalancing. Didn't keep a list but a couple of the last ones for sure. Fantastic game and best wishes on your release! Looking forward to those updates!
Yeah! We managed to get the trailer done before the game is released!! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
I've managed to have a bit of a play with this and am finding it a lot of fun. To be honest, when I saw that there were timers in the game I was more than a little worried at the thought of being unable to play the game when I really wanted to. However, they have not even been a factor so far. Whether this will be the case at higher levels is yet to be seen though. The art work is fun and colourful as are the animations. The controls are responsive and natural although I do find myself in the over steering/overcompensating loop of death a lot (this is more to do with the fact that I suck at it). The 'over world' is crying out for more interaction and mini games. The mention of animal crossing made me sit up and take notice. That would make this app a force to be recond with!! Overall, a nice package and a nice game which, with a little more love and attention (which I am in no doubt will be poured upon it by the dev team) is destined for greatness. Well done ezone and thanks again for the code
Can't get past level 39 tried 25 times now but can't do it casual gamers are not going to like that level trust me.
That's actually one of my favorite stages! There's a trick I found to that one. Around the center, you'll find that all the trees, rocks and penguins align perfectly with your player so you don't have to turn anymore. It's pretty dense on this lane. All you have to do is keep jumping as needed and you should be able to stay in crash mode. Don't crash early to build up a few thousand points.
Yup, my Mum hates that level too - but follow Echoen's advice and you'll be set! The other trick is to try and last as long as you can on the level before you crash, that way it is faster and there are more obstacles to crash into. ...and if you're in Australia/NZ you can now download Snow Spin from iTunes: http://ezone.com/ios/ss Give it a spin!!!
