I avoid pot because it makes you stupid long term. One time won't hurt you, but it will make you an idiot with prolonged use.
Proof kthxbai Nah I agree, but only with constant, heavy usage. Prolonged use has nothing to do with it, it's the quantity and frequency that you smoke. Everything in moderation
Pot doesn't make a person stupid through long term use - alcohol does, or anything that kills braincells (huffing glue for instance) will make you stupid. Long term use of pot will make a person chronically tired and maybe slightly lazy (though this is debatable depending on diet and health routine). It also might make a person slightly more empathic to situations outside of their normal routine. Even heavy chronic usage of weed has very little health detractions when compared to heavy chronic use of alcohol, or narcotics.
Except that pot directly damages your brain's ability to function. Alcohol damages a few cells that repair themselves, even after heavy drinking. I know pot smokers in their mid thirties who can't remember anything anyone told them two days ago. That's a lot different from just growing old, especially at that age. I'd much rather have lung cancer from cigarettes than that. These are heavy pot smokers, BTW. I'm not saying anyone who smokes pot will become stupid. Most people are stupid with no outside help.
You guys do realize that drugs don't 'damage' anything right? They just stimulate the release of neurotransmitters. Your body just reacts to these neurotransmitters as they normally would. Alcohol, on the the hand, is simply poison.
Okay, I mean like they don't go in and attack cells. The inbalance of neurotransmitters just causes the Brain to make wrong decisions in the response to these neurotransmitters, which leads to harm.
that can lead them to harm (by accident most likely) other people.....so yes drugs do "damage" things
there is a difference between natural occurring substances that grow out of the earth, and something that is concocted from a medley of different toxic chemicals. Weed has very little in common with meth.
