Exactly. I have quit a few times, the longest being like almost a year (when I picked up soon after my son was born.). I was so stressed with all of that going on, my wife didnt do well after the pregnancy and labour, I was doing a lot to help out that I've never done before. Not that I minded helping out in any way shape or form, but I was just going nuts. I missed so bad the calmness that a cigarette can bring you, and how for that 5 minutes or so that it takes to smoke a cigg, you have that time to think and just have time to yourself. That's all I need. So the emotional addiction lasts way longer than a few months for some. Even when I wasn't smoking I constantly wanted one. It was only untill a mega life altering situation happened that it broke me.
I don't smoke and hate the smell of cigarettes, but I love being around people smoking weed. I've smoked weed a couple times, never really got the hang of it, but I just love the smell. Heroin is my preferred drug. (only kidding )
The question "Do you smoke?" is such a loaded question these days. Whatever you're smoking or not, please do it responsibly, and for god's sake, brush teeth or pop a breath mint.
I'm a smoker. I couldn't quit because I enjoy it to much and realy haven't got the motivation to stop. I don't enjoy weed it screws with me.
Unfortunately sometimes that's what it takes. Tobacco is an evil, evil weed to kick. There's too much to like about it (for those given to enjoying what it offers in that regard) and the health detriments are often vague and distant enough that you can fool yourself into ignoring them quite easily. Until and if you're stricken with one of them anyway. I've been feeling some of the milder ill effects of smoking for years now and would really like to quit. That's why I'm trying those inhalers right now, just to see if it could work for me as a viable means of quitting. (Well, specifically to see if I can accept them as an alternative to real cigarettes, and to see if they work well enough.) I'm trying to take it slowly though; Switching wholesale from one to the other would just induce pink elephant syndrome. I have to leave the option of real smokes open, otherwise I'll just want them more if I deny them outright. It seems like that's the easiest route to quitting: Psyching out your own brain. That's pretty messed up, if you think about it. Freud would have a field day...
On that note, I think we should all end this thread with a song. Are you smoking? are you smoking? Cigarettes? Cigarettes? Give up that Tobacco It'll make you Wacko Nasty-O Cigarettes!
Now for the people who do smoke buds: Whats your weapon of choice? Bong? Joints? Vaporizor? I prefer bongs and my triple chamber bubbler personally. lol but been having to resort to joints as of late since I smoke outside now.
If I had a choice, gotta be the vape, especially for high quality buds. But I haven't gotten round to buying one myself yet, so normally it'd be my trusty one-hitter (downside: very regular cleaning required), or a bong. I do love a good joint when I'm with a group of people though.
Blunts for sure, though I do love bongs; I've just always smoked blunts for the most part. Don't mind jaints, but those are only good for certain occasions.
