By importing pictures from your library, how infact would you get the pictures you wanted into your photo library in the first place, I swear if you say you have to take a picture with a camera, save the picture, import it onto your computer, plug in and then import the pictures into your iPod, then use the pictures downloaded to import into the game...that's just anoyingly...annoying....but may have to be accepted if this game turns out good enough..
I completely agree with this. I'd much rather have 1 SketchNation app that costed the same/more in total than separate apps for every genre.
Don't worry. It's easy. You just have to take a picture with a camera, save the picture, import it onto your computer, plug in and then import the pictures into your iPod, then use the pictures downloaded to import into the game... So yes, it is a lot more seamless on the iPhone. Although I have to say you added a few extra steps in there: "Save the picture?" I am pretty sure the camera does that automatically.
We hope to be ready to submit the game to Apple in early February, but there is still a lot left to be done.
I don't think iPod Touch users have it as hard as people think. I've been thinking about how I'll be making my stages, and I've thought of two different ways. If I really quickly wanted to make something . . . Draw in Sketches. Save to "Saved Photos"/"Camera Roll". Import into SketchNation. For more precision (drawing in real life) . . . Draw on paper. Take picture with camera. Import photos. Email to iPod Touch. Import into SketchNation.
By the way... I did not realize this before but it is possible to sync images from a folder through iTunes. Meaning the steps required for iPod Touch users to import photos are even simpler: 1 - Draw on a piece of paper 2 - Take picture with camera 3 - Transfer to PC 4 - Sync folder with pictures to your iPod Touch using iTunes 5 - Import to Sketch Nation The above is simpler since you forgot the additional step where the user has to save the photo from their email to the photo library.
We do not have a firm release date yet, but we are still on track for an early February submission to Apple.
