Hello ressique, hm well... you're totally right Elves will get the chance of being a hunter with the next update. But they won't make good monks anymore in exchange. I hope this is ok ;-) Regards Mario
Awesome support, I am looking forward to the full version A small suggestion: I know it's not a big thing, but maybe the hunter class could get a bow as a starter equipment. regards
Hi ressique, I will think about it It's sometimes hard to decide how much support the player should get at the beginning... Regards Mario
Update 1.9.3 sent to Apple If all goes well, this update might be the last one before the final release (full version)... Some highlights: - Repeated Log entries removed - Repeating commands with changed order now working - Luck Integration - Night sky reworked - Race / Class combinations reworked - Showing the map now pauses the game - Indication of HP / SP gain/loss (green/red flash on the character slot) - The game manual is in again, with a new reader implemented - As a little teaser, the manual contains all spells now - Fix for problem when using Arrows (Arrows weren't meant to be used anyway) Regards Mario
I always thought it odd there were no D&D style games on this platform. The Quest was the closest thing out there, but is obviously only single player. When I stumbled across this a few days ago, I was absolutely delighted and many hours later am still loving this game. You've done an amazing job developing this, and should be extremely proud of the great result. Any idea when the full version is likely to be released? Will there be more content, and will the world effectively be re-set (if your starting with your existing characters)? One difference in the full version I'm not looking forward to, which I would urge against, is the inventory limit. Obviously it's more realistic, but inventory management is one of my bugbears in rpg games - makes things more tedious, and won't this cause issues using lite version characters? A couple of things I think that would make an improvement; - I think it's been mentioned, but the positioning of the movement buttons. Also, when you select a character, you can't save the game (initially because of this, I thought you couldn't save in dungeons), or move. This, and the position of the arrows near the action buttons (inventory, review character, buy items etc.), hence making them difficult to use, initially put me off this game, and took a while to get used to. I think it would be better that if you press a direction button, you can move and it takes you out of the character menu. - Given my terrible sense of direction, I thought a transparent mini map would be great. Then I discovered the compass spell. However, I think this should be alot more prominent - perhaps more like the compass in the Quest. - Not sure if this is a major change programming wise, but would be great to change the way the use item / identify / buy etc work. Rather than identify / bard / ?wand, it would be more user friendly identify / ?wand / character. Saves searching every character to see who holds a key etc. - would be good in shops and when looking at items with a view to equipping, comparative stats for existing items - similarly bonuses from stats (ie 21 strength is#+x damage) though I guess this will be covered in the compendium, which I will definitel buy! - in some occassions, rather than "ouch" for areas you can't go, perhaps more of a discription. There are a couple of places where you can see open ground, a tent, water you can't cross even with the levitate spell cast. Something like "The strong currents make it impossible to cross the river". - if someone gets incapacitated then healed, you can't send them back into the front four. - you can see it from saving the game, but some indication of in game time. - an auto save feature would be good - more specifics on group effects# An amazing game. If this is the lite version - can't wait for the heavy one, and hopefully future expansions.
Hello Nikademus, thank you very much for your extensive answer! Your suggestions are appreciated and I will put them on my ToDo / Feature list. Hopefully the full version will make it to the AppStore before Christmas. My submission date is December 12th... if all goes well. You won't be starting over with your characters, but just continue the game in the full version. Yes - there will be more content Regards Mario
