Not a perfect update, a glaring (although tiny) distraction is the 'Development Build' constantly showing and it seems like one of the borders of the character icons was covering up part of the first line in all the dialogue boxes
I just emailed the dev about the "development build" distraction. Haven't played long enough to notice the "border" error. I'll wait for another update before diving too deep into the game.
Just got word from the developer that they are now aware of the issues and are working on submitting a fix.
The border glitch only occurs when you have multiple character icons in the top right and the 1st tutorial battle ends with a convo. If you're walking around solo & chatting its perfectly fine Should've captured a screenshot of it I guess, I don't know if its a rare exception yet And yes the save file feature is a big welcome, was the only reason why I didn't buy the game until this week
Man, if they ever decide to release any UGC for this version, they really only need to give us this one: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=168214166 It's called "Shadowrun Unlimited" and check out these features: I hope if they ever do include it, that they have a way for us to get updates on UGC, because this one is CONSTANTLY being updated.
Dl the new update & quickly checked it out. That 'development build' msg is totally gone now. Hope it fixed the other issue I found last night where all of a sudden conversation choices were made randomly for me even though I wasn't touching anything & had barely any time to read it
I am loving this game so far. Great combat system and atmosphere. I truly hope that harebrained does add a greatest hits package of UGC. Would love a randomized mod that allows you to take contracts, light on story, heavy on combat.
The Mega Drive version was very much like that. You could just run about the place doing contracts. A lot of fun.
I certainly don't want to hijack the thread, but if you have an android device, there's a game called "cyber knights RPG" which is pretty much that. There's a lite version if you want to try it out. Back to iOS Shadowrun now
Still finding bugs with this game, occasionally the controls will get incredibly unrealiable, you press the item box & nothing happens, you press it again & again. Still nothing and then after what feels like 10 seconds it suddenly appears & disappears. Additionally my characters will still randomly move about if I don't choose anything for more than 5 seconds Also during dialog there'll be extremely long pauses between convo breaks where you can't see any dialogue choices and you literally can't do anything to help it speed up For an iPad Air & the game already having a handful of updates I expected far more stability
