As i said before, NO. Dungeon Hunter, Eternal Legacy, and StarFront is coming out next month, NOVA2, Asphalt 6, and Shadow Guardian this month.
Dungeon Hunter 2 will most likely be coming out this month (it says so in Pocket Gamer's preview). But apart from that I think you're probably right - Eteranal Legacy and StarFront will come next year.
how do you know?? do you work for Gameloft? No one really knows when each game is coming out, so everyone should sit back, stop giving false guesses, and just wait til each game releases
We don't know when EXACTLY things are comming out, but we know wich games are comming this month or next year. (read previews and that stuff.)
I disagree. Dungeon Hunter 2 IS coming out this month. Shadow Guardian will come out before Christmas only if Gameloft pushes 4 games out. NOVA 2, Asphalt 6, and Dungeon Hunter 2 will absolutely release before Christmas.
But thats the thing....every website has always been wrong in saying when a particular game is coming out. For example, either it was IGN or pocketgamer said that the BFBC2 would be out in november....its december now, and EA are just saying that no release date has been set. So the only word we should all listen to and believe is Gameloft's. All they have said so far is that NOVA2 would be coming out in December. As for the other games, Im not sure, but I know they didnt set a firm release date...
No, Dungeon Hunter 2 isn't. There have been no videos or preview builds released to sites. Those would appear, as is always the case with Gameloft before they would release it. Shadow Guardian which has been played Pocketgamer, as well as by both Joystiq and Slidetoplay, all point toward a "before Christmas" release. I'm certain, when Gameloft gave them hands on previews, Gameloft communicated that information on timing to them. Or they would not have been able to publish that information. They aren't just assuming. Joystiq even has the "Before Christmas" in quotes, meaning that information was given to them officially. So, yes, I would believe Shadow Guardian is coming sooner than Dungeon Hunter 2, which has been missing in action. When more info on DH2 surfaces, it's safe to assume the release for it will grow closer.
To IGN And BF.: 1. well... it's IGN. One can never trust them (a well-known fact) 2. EA is never good with release dates. 3. There was hardly any other info on the game.
Yeah, BFBC2 was an exception. About 90% of the time, when a trusted website gives a release date, they are correct.
Slidetoplay: http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/shadow-guardian-hands-on-preview "Shadow Guardian hits the App Store later this month." Joystiq: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/02/gameloft-announces-nova-2-and-the-uncharted-inspired-shadow-guar/ All of these games should be available later this month, "before Christmas." Of note, Slidetoplay's main site has hands on previews for: Shadow Guardian, Nova 2, Eternal Legacy and StarConflict. Two of those are mentioned as coming next month, the other two are mentioned as coming this month. While Joystiq previewed Nova 2, Asphalt 6 and Shadow Guardian + their preview came a day before the the other sites.
What does that have to do with the link I posted? My post was in reply to you saying that Dungeon Hunter 2 wouldn't be released this month. Well of course I made it up, I'm glad it was obvious to you. It was just a rough guess from my experience. I chould've just said "the majority of the time", but that isn't specific enough (50.01% is a majority). I could've said "the vast majority", but that could imply 99% or nearer to 100% which probably isn't correct. So YES, I MADE UP A STATISTIC! (big deal)
Actually, EA had sent out a press release stating the release month of BFBC2 being November. Therefore, websites would post so.
If your saying Dungeon Hunter 2 is coming out in December, your wrong. Heres the plan: Next week, Asphalt 6 Week later, NOVA2, Week after, Shadow Guardian. Thats 3 weeks, so 3 games. Dungeon Hunter cant come out basically because Gameloft only releases 1 game a week, and since the itunes store will be closed, Gameloft cant release 4 games this month. And another source of reasoning is, if you google the 3 game names, it is confirmed the 3 games will be released this month, and in January the rest will be released.
You don't know that, you're just making assumptions. Pocket Gamer said in their hands-on that the game would be coming this month. So who should I trust? Some random forum member who's making assumptions, or a professional news writer who has close contact with Gameloft themselves? Hard decision
I'm not going to argue about release dates anymore anyway. The rumour mill aside, I can tell you that Pocket Gamer is in my experience the most reliable iDevice website, outside of Touch Arcade. They are the only two iDevice websites that I even have bookmarked. I trust Pocket Gamer a lot more than some of these other second tier sites, but that's just me. Everyone has their own opinions, but I've been around the scene for over two years now. We'll just have to wait and see. I believe Gameloft would release the games that are sequels before Christmas, because sequels tend to be a safer bet in terms of guarenteed profits. releasing all three sequel games before Christmas is a surefire way for Gameloft to maximize their profits. As far as Shadow Guardian goes, Gameloft told IGN apparantly that the game is only 4 hours long. Now, developers are rarely truthful about these sort of things. This game could end up being more like 2 hours. Or, basically, more or less the same length of Iron Man 2. Gameloft will use achievements, from what I've heard, to try and facilitate multiple play-thrus in order to extend the overall replay value.
