The weapon looks slow but powerful. I mean after sticking those things into some1,you gotta take them out ~5-6/3 would be nice for attributes and it could attack like every second round. And the gal looks hot
I don't think so,but theres a lot of new cool features updated in the beta every week. Everyone has a chance to signup as far as i know,so till its out I would advise you to signup for the beta
Everyone now has a chance to check out the latest beta of Shadow Era! Try it out and help us make a great game! On Facebook: http://apps.facebook.com/shadowera On the web: http://www.shadowera.com/beta
Nice! I can't wait till the full release. Edit: lol I Just played my first game and I won without knowing any of the rules lol. It was really fun 0---0 Um one thing I'm wondering though. When I was picking a hero I picked a hunter but in the hour I was given a preist? Edit2: oh nvm I see where it says hero selection Is disabled for beta
Just played it on the web. I have played LOTR and Magic competitively and I really like the mechanics of this. Great job!
Thanks joaovc, we are finishing up the multiplayer soon so hopefully you can play Shadow Era competitively too
Tried facebook version - looking good if a bit slow paced. Perhaps a skip animation option? The shop doesn't have an "exit" option
Playing the web version and it looks really well done. I just played for quite a while, and I've got to get back to work here! Great card graphics. I'm just getting the hang of the game mechanics. More to follow, but I'm really looking forward to seeing this on the iPad! --DotComCTO
Hi Kyle! Congratulations for the great game! Played the beta a couple of times, and I have some feedback. Before I do, I just want to state that I have a good CCG background, since the second edition of Magic, Spellfire, Rage, etc. I will not waste our time telling you about the things that I like, because it would be a big list... I'll go directly to the point: 1) I think the main game mechanics are simple, so it has a good "pick up and play" factor, but it has it's drawbacks... I would like to see more complicated mechanics, since most of the cards give direct damage, or buff/debuff... 2) Sometimes I get confused with the "game terms". Sometimes you guys use "opponent", "target", "enemy" (sorry if I got it wrong, but my memory is terrible, and I can't run the game right now), and in the end we don't know if the effect of the card is exclusive to a hero, ally, or both... I'm going to play a little bit more tonight, see if I can explain those things better. Bye!
That depends on what class you play. Mages are more about direct damage, while Priests are buff/debuff. Elementals have energy control and conversion, like stealing a card from your opponent's hand, gaining control over an enemy ally, sacrificing your own ally to gain Hero health, etc. Also note that not all classes are available yet in the beta The card text was designed to be as simple as possible, and should be consistent. For example: "target" - you can select any target for this effect "up to n different targets" - you can select up to [n] targets, with no duplicates "target opponent" - you can only target the enemy hero or allies "target ally" - only allies can be targeted "target hero" - only heroes can be targeted "each turn" - the start of the card owner's draw phase, or if the card is attached to a target, the target card owner's draw phase "attack" - use an ally to launch an attack against another ally or hero "defend" - return damage to your attacker You can find more info on our website at http://www.shadowera.com
Hi, I've been testing your game for a while now and came across the same things as meatz666 stated above. If I got it right, by that meatz666 meant that the abilities are just not diverse enough. Its cool that each class has its own specialties but even direct damage heroes should get some more complicated abilities (that come with drawbacks, can only be cast at certain times or does more damage if certain conditions are met) or they get boring and repetitive pretty fast and most player just won't play them.
Any ETA, yet, on the iphone release? Also: is the beta still open? Big fan of MTG, Orions, etc. Looking forward to the game!
When I challenge other player's decks is the AI using their deck or can I actually play against a live opponent?
