Oh yes, I'm really looking forward to this game. It looks awesome.

Is there going to be different diffculty levels for A.I like...legendary? :D

Yea I think a FAQ would be awesome. I'm a bit confused on how resources are obtained....you mentioned putting a card facedown etc, so that means cards like Dark Age that draw you a card are super uber powerful since you pretty much get free resource!!

Thanks for all the info. I used to be really into yugioh, a bit into pokemon and a tiny bit into magic. So I'm really looking forward to playing REAL TCG ( *cough, moonga doesnt count) and not look nerdy while enjoying it.

EDIT: i just saw the descriptive text you were talking about, i didnt notice it the first time. I'm loving it :D

I think Kyle mentioned that it's about 2-3 months from submission (estimate) and that it will be...FREE :)

    So what you say:

you can customize your deck pretty well without paying, but if you want to complete the collection and/or want to customize the deck more you will have to pay.

    Right?

If I understand it right, this i how it works:

You Get a random deck of 30 cards
There is a set lvl cap, and each time you lvl up you get 3 random cards.
You can sell cards you already have or dont need for gold
you can buy new boosters for gold or real money through iTunes.
You can Get gold or boosters by completing special offers

Correct? At least that give us many ways to Get cards.

    Yep that's pretty much it...
Plus you also get gold by completing missions or challenging other players

Kyle, I have a question! In other card games there are a limits on how many cards you can have in a deck and how many of a certain card you can have in it. Like 30 cards max per deck and you can only have 4 card 'x's in it. What are the limitations such as that in Shadow Era?

I really liked the layout for the game for the ingame screenshot. Alot of effort looks to be going into this game, we all want it now but its good you guys are taking your time to put out a polished product.

Kyle, have you had a play through of the game to see if it functions well or are you not at that stage yet?

    Deck construction:
    - one hero card
    - minimum 30 cards in a deck, no maximum
    - maximum of 4 copies of a card in a deck
    - cards can only be included that share a trait with your hero: same side (humans/shadows), or same class (warrior sword, etc). There are also neutral ally cards that can always be included

The game is playable now in an alpha stage. We are working on card balancing, special effects and polish, and finalizing all card art and GUI

I remember you saying something about all the cards being on the server; If a card is found to be overpowered can you ban or limit it (ie. only 2 allowed per deck) on your end?

I was just thinking that if this insane combo is found and everyone starts using it... then some users (particularly ones without those cards) might get put off

Do this mean that my Human mage hero can have the Shadow Mage as an ally?

No, the "Shadow Mage" card says it is "Ally - Shadow" so it is only usable by Shadow Heroes...

Cards such as Icebolt would say "Spell - Mage", that can be used by both Humans and Shadows with a Mage class hero

In the future there might also be more specialized cards, such as "Spell - Human Mage" usable only by the two human mage heroes
