Akuma's great and all, but I hope more priority goes to the more original characters instead of another shoto.
Guys, here's an interesting interview with SF4's (iPhone) producer Takeshi Tezuka from Kotaku. Here's some of the more important details: Regarding online multiplayer: Regarding the future, DLC etc: Regarding SSF4 not being the iphone version: Also if you listen to the latest podcast from TouchGen, they interviewed him and he says some similar stuff to this.
Oh so that's why... I was like what the hell is that video for? So it's like in-game advertisement lol.
No online multiplayer, so im stuck without a player 2 again... this is what killed fighting games for me back in the 90s.. So, i just spent 10 bucks on what is going to be nothing but glorified portable eye candy.. ._.;
Pretty sure there are plenty of means to find that information out without having to buy it. This forum is one of them.
What information? Whether or not it has online multiplayer? It's stated earlier in this thread that it doesn't.
because it doesnt have online multiplayer.. thats kind of what i was hoping for when i bought it.. o_o;
But you could have found that informa-- I can see I'm going to round in circles, you're not making any sense.
I'm making perfect sense. I also probably should have mentioned i bought the game BEFORE this thread was created.. ^_^;
Yes, you probably should, that makes a bit more sense. Still, you didn't check the official thread before buying?
Not really, this was kind of a spur of the moment thing..I did notice that it was currently bluetooth only, but i was still holding out hope that online multiplayer would arrive in a future update.. now that i know its not coming, though, im starting to wonder how in the heck im going to get my moneys worth out of this game.. all my gamer friends live in other states.. :/
it's still a great game with a lengthy campaign. tell one of ur family members to download the game and battle them over bluetooth. dont be greeedy-it's only 10 dollars. It's cheaper than going to a 3D movie, and u r getting waaay more entertainment from it.
Greed doesnt even enter into this, its more like a taste preference. I thought SFII was cool back in the 90s but when i didnt have anyone to play multiplayer with, it got boring fast. The only fighting game i ever really enjoyed for its own sake was Soul Calibur 3. I want to enjoy this game, but im not sure i can get much out of it without multiplayer..
If they bring Marvel Vs Capcom 2 I will cry tears of joy. Heck, if they wanted to, with their current graphics standards they could possibly even port Tatsunoko Vs Capcom.
With all respect, greed is a major factor in this. You have got a GREAT game, with hours of beat-em-up gameplay on a 3.5 inch screen for the price of a salad...and you want more? I understand that multiplayer is a big part of a gaming experience for you, but surely there is enough in this game to make it worth the price? Asking more for this price does in fact qualify as greed my friend
While i agree with you that it is a pretty dang good game, if your into this kind of thing, i think you misunderstood one of my points. I never considered multiplayer a big part of my personal gaming experience. I just realize that for genres like fighting games and FPSes, two things i dont usually enjoy, multiplayer is a big part of what makes it fun. Normally i steer clear of these games, and stick to RPGs and strategy, but lately with all the online stuff ive been trying to expand my limits a little..
