I just checked as well and was delightfully surprised to see an email for the Revolt beta test. In other words, I'M IN! WOOHOOO!
well, it sounds like they just decided to send out the emails, so if you don't get one pretty quick, you probably didn't get in, unfortunately. The good news is that it's probably pretty close to being submitted anyway.
well, I'm probably not allowed to say much about the game, but I think what I can say is that I'm only one level in and I'm in love. Goodbye minigore/guerrilla bob/alive 4-ever, hello Revolt
You can say all the good stuff you want here, just keep any negative feedback coming to us so we can take care of it.
There were a few more tester requests that came in after the last build had already been provisioned and built, so there *might* be more that get sent out, but no guarantees.
this game is so freakin' awesome! It's like a fast paced dual stick shooter in the vain of a FPS. You don't just have a bunch of bots come at you all at once, you have a few here and there that actually take a little strategy to take out. My favorite enemies so far are the grenade throwers. They seriously are tricky to get rid of, cuz they take more than one hit, and whenever you stop to shoot them, they chuck a grenade at you. Also, the grenade throwing mechanic is really cool. You just grab and drag the grenade icon wherever you want to throw it and there it goes. The weapons upgrades are also really cool. I have noticed a little slow down when lots of stuff are on the screen, probably because I have a 2G ipod touch, so it will probably run perfect on 3Gs and up, but the game is so awesome that it doesn't really bother me. It really is the most polished and well thought out dual stick shooter on the appstore. All the environments are so different and detailed. There are lots of objects around that can be destroyed. The only thing I would love to see is some loot or pickups that occasionally pop out of destroyed objects. Well, that's probably about all for now, but it seriously is awesome and well worth the wait
Are you still taking in beta testers? I messed up on the whole UDID thing so I sent in an email with the right one like 3,4 times. And also, any release date planned yet?
