Sorry if I came across a bit harsh. This is something I struggled with while I was beta testing IMO (which I didn't like at all). You hear all this excitement from people and you feel you need to say something about it -- after all, you know the game and they don't. I think in that case it's best just to step away from the fray (or, as Eduku suggests, keep things very factual).
Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but the thing to keep in mind in being a playtester is that you are going to be playing potentially broken and not fun games, and it should be the point of you playing the game to make that known so it can be fixed, not just to get to play the game earlier than everyone else.
so there's a chance of weakening enemies and having more come at you? that's pretty much the kind of change i'd be looking for, but i know it will change gameplay too drastically. i just gotta accept that i'm not a patient hide and shoot kind of gamer (dual stick shooter wise) and that some games will please me more than others. i'm pretty sure most here will love this game though.
Update: Things have slowed down a bit here but they are still moving. We've got all the story elements integrated into the game now and have the boss battle up and running. Dynamic music fading is in and all the Open Feint Achievements are there, 20 of them. The basic gameplay is all done and enemy balance just needs to be tweaked. Hopefully a few things will get sorted out around here and then we'll open the game back up to testers for the final push. Still no ETA on anything.
