Maybe the Apple guys got stuck at one of the puzzles Seriously though, I'd expect at least some info from the developer. Is it still waiting for approval? How much will it cost? The credit I've reserved for it is burning a hole in my pocket.
Don't quote me on this, but I read somewhere recently and forgot to tag it to paste on here but this game is also being developed for the pc and has been delayed until June, so I don't think it's even been submitted as was suggested. I think its being developed by the team behind Still Life and Syberia which means it's in good hands if so. Edit:From Wikipedia: On November 25, 2008 Microïds announced that a sequel to Return to Mysterious Island was being made. It has been in development by Kheops Studio since April 2008, and was originally scheduled for release on PC and Apple iPhone in March 2009.[1] According to Microïds, the game is to be released in June 2009.
Interesting, but I think the entry you posted refers to RTMI 2 (being developed by Microids - never heard of them), not RTMI, which is being ported by Tetraedge/Chillingo as the original post says. Anyway, didn't know we'd be getting the sequel as well - cool!
I want this game right about now! seriously though, like some of you said, the devs should give us SOME info on the progress. The wait for a game can backfire on the whole hype machine if they don't give us some hope or whatever. Similiar to Firemints Real Racing, where is it?
Don't know, but I'm tired of checking daily for it. I wish either the dev or Chillingo would pop in here and let us know whats going on with the game. The original release date was slated for April. Its almost June now. Its fine if they are still finishing the game, I (and I think I speak for everyone when I say this) would like to know whats up with this game.
yeah I said the same thing earlier. I think the devs owe us at least a reason or explanation as to whats going on. I can't imagine the wait going on any longer unless the game was rejected, but they could at least say so if it was.

Submission happened today! Everyone -- the final RTMI was submitted today and contains several enhancements and new features like continuous hints/help. A superb new intro sequence has also been added. We hope you all enjoy it. Depending it on Apple review process it could be 7-14 days from now before it appears!
