Why pay, when it will be 100% free!?!? The "word" will come from me. It's an indie game. No financial budget, only the eager to bring back an old school game to life which I spent hours... days... weeks... on to master. I never succeeded and neither will you. It's that hard, hehe... ( But I dare ya' ) Progress status: + Scripting engine 100% ported. + Layout started (i.e. the graphical interface on top of the text based engine), 25% ported. I'd say that the overall progress is about 70-75% done. To be honest I'm really glad to see some guys looking forward to the final result. I'll dedicate all spare time and possible nights to this! // Jompe71 (IPhone developer newbee)
Sorry for the late release, still in progress. IPhone development not the same as Android and I'm still struggling with the O-C language, X-Code crap. Now "also" have to split free time between kids, wife, regular job, hobby game programming and remodeling the kitchen etc. ( Thus, "Masquerade Deluxe" port gets the better of the above. ) Please, don't give up hope! It's an odd game, one of it's kind, but a least it's 100% FREE ! // Jompe71
Here's a 14-year old excited about downloading this! (though I do love my mindless killing now and then)
Current progress for those who have interest in the game: - All code ported from Android version, except the background music handler. - Game "almost" playable. Bugs/Crashes which still occur, when solved will untie knots throughout the engine. Not much left... - Currently working on -delete of save games, -nested items (i.e. items containing items.. think wallet (game hint now revealed, hehe!)) and -auto save. - User friendly interaction of the virtual keyboard. So with this said, I'm posting the "screen of the day". Please be patient (I'm alone using spare time on this one...)! BUT, I haven't come this far without an actual release. Estimated progress indicates a fishing for beta testers in late March. // Jompe71
Interest seem to be low on this one but it doesn't matter, it was something I had to do regardless. It's a freebee from an indie/hobby developer and 100% free so interest factor doesn't matter, game submitted yesterday anyway to appstore. For those really interested, if it gets rejected it might be a little while longer, rejected again and game will be distributed upon request only, i.e. among "friends"! Happy adventurin' // Jompe71
I agree with this and off topic and no idea if it has been said (didn't feel like surfing through all the pages) but "No Rhyme or Reason" would make a killer title for a game lol. But yea I want to give this a shot as it would be the first I played in this genre... (I guess I'm a text based adventure virgin lol)
