Kind of shady to start a new thread about this game when there is another one closing in on 200 pages you guys have been ignoring for a year now... http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?threadid=46972
I gotta agree with the previous poster, it is shady, by starting again it looks as if the costumer service has always been pristine - like it is now, kudos to Sledgehammer. Why didn't you guys at EA do this before? Cheers, Leo
It's nice to be getting some info at last though. Thanks Sledgehammer. Any chance of letting us know the release date please? It would be interesting to know the differences between the iphone and ipad versions too, but in terms of features and price.
"6 different cars, trucks & Semi's" You guys sure that doesn't mean 6 cars, 6 trucks, and 6 semis? That would make more sense considering the time it's been in development.
We only learned that EA was hosting the game a few months after that post. It's developed by Indie Devs that call themselves Pixelbite. At the time, there was no new news to post, so I guess EA didn't feel the need to post another topic. Also, the only thing disappointing thing is the 4 player multiplayer. I thought it would be 6....
This sounds great and all but like i said before, it's bare minimum content Pixelbite/EA is throwing into the game. If there isn't a promise of DLC or free updates, then you can count me out on this one given EA's current track record on updates
I think this game will be like when you've dunked a biscuit in a cup of tea for precisely the right amount of time and the biscuit comes out slightly crunchy and slightly softened. This game WILL cause relationship problems as you turn down sex to play another lap. Children all over the world will be late for school and when they do leave the house they'll probably be mowed down as they continue to play. World peace will also become a reality as crazy dictators will instead turn their attention to this game. I do also worry this game might be all hype.
Yup. looks like it'll be out this thursday (really hoping its not next thursday >.<) Which ever thursday it is, you can count on me beating you to the release thread again though
Most of EA's recent releases have been thursday only. So my best guess is that this (and other future EA titles) will be released on thursday only. And not just EA, even Gameloft, Chillingo, Namco, and lots more big publishers have been releasing their games on a thursday. It seems to be getting them more sales this way somehow.
People were begging for a response. Even one that said "were still here but there's nothing new to report". The PR from EA has been nothing short of disastrous arrogance. We have a good amount of people who were very excited about laying down their money for this game and EA took that for granted. I can't speak for the others on this but I can say there is a real nasty taste in my mouth left from this EA experience.
They release it Thursday so they can make it to the new and noteworty quickly so more people will notice their game earlier and the world will spread and it will shoot up the charts.
