We are going to forget about real racing soon.... @least temporarily http://toucharcade.com/2010/09/14/race-after-1977-an-upcoming-post-apocalyptic-racer/
You know, because games EA didn't publicize (like SimCity, R Type) didn't sell ridiculous amounts based on the name of the company alone. And as you obviously know nothing about the topic, let me dumb it down a bit: People will buy it because it comes from EA. Nothing else matters. Who looked at teh Iron Monkey Studios (?) who made Mirror's Edge track record before they bought it? No-one but about 2 butthurt forum addicts.
No mention of Reckless Racing in EA's fall lineup: http://www.148apps.com/news/ea-pulls-curtain-fall-lineup/ Disaster!
i cant beleive how many idiots are here all say: "wow ,incredible ,and its published by ea ? instant buy!" "amazing! instant buy" "i love controls, love graphic ,looking after" EAWILL NOT PUBLISH THIS GAME ,AND NEVER INTENDED TO DO! this game it's make by a small "company" from sweden,it's their strategy ,to foolish people like you.And when the game will be publish all writes"Why is not published by EA ?" Answear:"sorry for all ,but we had problem with ea contract......." I hope these guy who used ea trademarks all other registered marks to be punishment ,pay money! you need copyrights to use the rights of EA!
Do you really think pixelbite would lie about EA publishing it, especially when they had a perfectly good publisher in Polarbit. There would be way too much trouble if they lied about EA. Oh and just in case that isn't good enough look here: http://info.ea.com/schedule.asp?platform=iPhone Reckless racing is clearly listed there
The amount of fail exhibited by this post is enough to supply every human being in the world 33.45 times.
Dude, my pet bear toy thing died because of a fail overdose... Next time please suffocate your own family with fail kthxbai.
While it is true that EA has never picked up and published a game that was not developed in-house and has never distributed a game from indie devs (this is what Chilligno is for), Gameloft, under similiar circumstances, published Rogue Planet. They did not develop Rogue Planet in-house. That game was created by a team of indie devs and was nearing completion, when Gameloft decided to invest in it, thus increasing the game's developmental cycle and pushing back its release date. Gameloft had never done this before and they haven't done anything similiar to it since.
im sure there was another EA game that was published but not made. Gameloft have done a few I know but I think EA had one.
Need for Speed : Undercover was made by ironmonkey studios Its in the about part of the game, also hints included in the decals
I don't think they are going to reveal wht caused the delay, It'll just come out & we'll all get busy playing
I'm not sure about the iOS market (but let's face it - EA are still beginners in this area) but they do that all the time on consoles etc via EA Partners (that's what EA Partners is for - publishing indie games). Both indie games such as Shank and big retail games such as Crysis, Left 4 Dead etc from indie developers. So it's not like it isn't EA turf..
I was just thinking...with all this time that Pixelbite has waiting for their game to be released by EA. They should be (if they are not already) working on future updates for this game. So when it releases, they can say they will be releasing a update in the next week or two (or however long). And then just keep 'em coming after that...
