I think it over drifts too. As long as they have a good control layout, I'll be happy. I think the arrows are horrible. The wheel will prolly be my method of choice, but I hope they add/ed a virtual joystick. I wonder if anyone that likes RR had a problem with Smash Cops?!?
I did. I love Reckless Racing and can't stand Smash Cops. I deleted Smash Cops the day after I bought it.
Was it the controls or just the overall game because if you use the joystick, SC has some of the tightest arcade racer controls on iOS IMO? The reason I asked was because ppl were complaining about the drifting/turning.
Just a little reminder about the tuning part of Reckless Racing 2. Every car can be tuned to be more or less drifting. So if you prefer cars that does not drift, then you can buy a supercar and upgrade the handling, put on a wing and racing tires and you'll get just that. If you on the other hand is a true Reckless Racer, you'll probably put on the cheapest tires, upgrade the engine for all it's worth and start going sideways with a smile on your face.
Nice! As long as the steering wheel is good, I won't mind some moderate to slightly extreme drift. 1, somewhat, important/big question: Are there GC achievements? It would really suck if there aren't any, especially now that I am used to having them in the arcade racers I buy. Plus, I'm not one to really care about leaderboards an usually play MP much later into a game. *worried*
GC achievements are in. And if you should find something wrong with our steering wheels, let us know and we'll fix it (as far as it can be fixed). The controls shall never be an issue with our games. And don't give up on the button controls just yet, they are actually really good.
Awesome! I didn't know if you guys were still partnered with EA or not, and their games seem to never really have GC support. I actually stopped buying a lot of their games. Yeah, I'll definitely try out all of the controls including buttons, but the tapping always confuses me. If I'm remembering correctly, back when I got my first iDevice, the only options for most arcade racers were the buttons or a MMR steering wheel (the one before the 50,000 updates lol). Anyways, consider this instabought! Edit Duh! I forgot all about Reckless Getaway and it had achievements.
The one thing I want in this game that was in the first is the Big Rig/18 wheeler/Lorry whatever you call it. It was my favorite since you really don't see them in racing games and I felt like a was racing as Optimus Prime. The game looks great I will definitely buy it the moment it comes out in the App Store. Please put another Big Rig.
NOOOO... Leave that out. It looks like they're going with more realistic racing cars this time, not dumb redneck cars. That's how it should be.
I couldn't get enough stars to move on because I couldn't do that stupid cone obstacle course. The cars turned way to fast, and it was just terrible IMO.
Yeah, the obstacle course was one of the last things I got all 5 stars on. I had to come back with the last car and use the virtual joystick. It only took me about 5 tries before I nailed it. It sounds that you didn't like the tightness of the controls, which is fine.
I actually only play racing games where you can do some sort of "drifting", which is why I'm really looking forward to RR2.
Would there be gear setups? Even though its a 2Dish racing game, would be cool to see gear setups in the game
