I would hope the addition of weapons in RR2, if it does indeed happen, would push the game more towards weapons-as-powerup like RC Pro-AM and Mario Kart, and not deathmatch-on-wheels like Death Rally, which is fun in its own right but is now done and over to me. Weapon balance is a tricky business and can make or break a game.
