My money is on the 20th. Or, wait, didn't they do something crazy like update features before the iTunes freeze earlier in the week last year? ...Hmm, plausible.
Yeah they could but on the 20th they would go against a boatload of sales. I don't think for a minute that Real Racing 3 wouldn't be a Chart topper but with the Itunes Freeze so close maybe they don't want to risk it.
Well, consider it's an EA title, and EA is always the one behind the massive sales. Also, if they secured the top Editor's Choice over Christmas... That'd be bananas.
I wanna think it's still going to be released in 2012... But it's very odd they haven't made any announcement yet. The logical thing to do would be to give a release date at least a week earlier, right?
Please come out already, Please come out already, Please come out already!!! I think it'd be out on 19th Dec. As long as it doesn't disappoint, it'd nick my nomination for GotY. Imma sucker for racing sims (I'd prefer an F1 sim, but this is really the closest on mobile!).
I reckon EA knows this will go up the charts and reach the top 10... It would not surprise me if they are timing this to Apples lock down to iTunes when the charts get stuck over the holiday period. Also EA have probably got editors choice for RR3 and that will be frozen over the holiday period and not change so they will get an extra boost with that as well. The benefit of been in the top ten over XMass is so huge to profits when the App Store chart positions get frozen.
