I liked Vortex alright. I do think this looks promising. Plus it sounds challenging, which I like :)

You should play more :p I just reached lv 31 with over 12 million :D

Have you looked at the achievements listing? It also tells you how many % of players have accomplished each achievement. I think this is fantastic. Most achievement systems in other games were designed as something you do to be satisfied with yourself. Competition is all about highscores. But in radial50, with the % of players for each achievement, it kinda makes you wanna be part of that (small) percentage hehe.

Looking at those percentages, I also noticed that some people have actually finished 50 rounds. Oh my... I hope these are the devs :p

Just another thing to add about this game: Unlike normal brick breaker games, when a brick is shattered, colored particles are generated. Get more particles to score more points and also hit achievements. So in this game, you'll find yourself consistently busy and distracted by trying to catch particles. Don't get overwhelmed though, because you wouldn't wanna lose sight of the ball.

In fact there are occasional bonus rounds where the bricks are all easy to clear. You think it's a free pass until you realize that this is actually your chance to generate as many particles as possible. And hence your goal becomes the opposite: try to not hit the diamond in the middle. Bonus rounds like this is also your chance to get achievements like clearing the entire playfield, which is normally impossible since bricks are always respawning.

    Great game!!

Yup, I lose track of the ball in the particles...

By the way, Prab, we're allowed to post screen shots

What kind of screenshots would you like to see? Its hard to take them while playing haha.. lol

Anyway, I just realized that this game reminds me a bit about Peggle. From the idea that the bricks are actually obstacles in trying to hit the diamond in the middle. In Peggle, you have the red pegs (or is it orange?) that you have to hit to pass a level, all the other blue pegs are just obstacles (well, they give you points too -- but you dont need them to pass a level).

Lol.. It looks like you were about to lose one life bar there :p

Anyway, in a bonus round like the above, black bricks disappear with one hit. White bricks give you powerups/downs. There is one particular powerup that is very useful for the bonus round. You need to be lucky to get it. Its the one where all the particles gravitate automatically towards the paddle. I only managed to get it once :D

    Screenshots

    Attached are two screenshots.

One is where the shield comes up. Pretty sweet especially when you get the goofy foot powerdown (the label appears on the bottom left of the screen) where left is right and right is left.

The second sshot is where you get a wide paddle. Yes, its really wide :D

Edit: Anyway, you can also see from the second image that the guiding aim is really helpful. I was trying to get the ball to the right side of the field so I can clear some more bricks. You need to clear 50% of the bricks before the middle black ring becomes penetrable. After all it was level 23. After making the black ring penetrable, you need to hit the middle metal ball once to break it and reveal the diamond. Upon which, bricks start spawning around the diamond. So yes, aiming is important :p

That looks complicated trying to catch particles and aim. I think that is going to be what makes this game fun for me I like challenges. :)

Oh trust me.. If you like challenges, this game is loads of fun. Here is a sshot of me completing 5 rounds healthy (5 continuous rounds with no life lost). And the Drop All Targets (clear all bricks) achievement is also not easy. I managed to get it but forgot to sshot. Oops...

There is also a wall surfing achievement which is too crazy for me to attempt (its clearing all the bricks in the outter ring but nothing else). The challenges in this game are well... quite challenging :D

Any testers reach 50 yet? I died at 48 :(

So any word clue as to when it will be released? I think this and harbor master are going to end up being first day buys for me.

Did you manage to get the 200 particle achievement yet? Lol. It's hard when you get the particle attractor thing because you suddenly feel the pressure of whacking every brick in sight LOL.
