Is WiFi access on a phone free or will your provider charge you?

WiFi is free just like ipod. 3G connection (or what ever it is now days) is from a provider and is charged.

Well here in the UK, pretty much anywhere other than your own wifi or somebody else's secured wifi, places will charge for wifi. Hotels, cafes, shops etc all charge for wifi. Also in most cities and public areas there is BT Openzone or Cloud wifi which you have to pay for as a subscription.
I wonder if there'll ever be a day where everyone gets free unlimited internet connection wherever they are in the world. Probably not in our lifetime.

Florida, but I tend to stick with the "resorts," like if I go to an attraction, I stay at their hotel.

In Finland..broadband is a legal right...and in austrailia they are giving everyone a fiber optic connection..so it could become a worldwide thing..that would be awesome!

In Finland it's a legal right, but it's not free. Not free in Australia either.
Still, it's a move in the right direction.
